Watson Cannot get Tan to Fold

Nível 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Darian Tan was the initial raiser and Mike Watson defended his small blind. Until the {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} river, there were about 25,000 chips in the middle and Watson moved all in.

Tan checked his stack several times and eventually called all in for 23,100. Watson flipped over {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} and Tan checked twice before letting out a huge sigh of relief. His {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} was good enough to win the pot and avoid elimination just shy of the money.

Play On!

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Tournament Director John Waters has just announced to every table that we will be playing until we reach the final 27 players and are in the money.

"I don't want someone coming back tomorrow and bubbling on the first hand" announced Waters to one of the players.

And with that announcement, play will enter the eleventh hour in an effort to reach the money.

Riess the Beast Doubles Through Neilson

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Daniel Neilson opened for 1,600 from the cutoff and then called when 2013 World Series of Poker champ Ryan Riess shoved for 10,600 from the small blind.

Riess: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Neilson: [ah10d}

Riess was well out in front, and there would be no tomfoolery in the hand as the board ran out a safe {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Bowen Stays Aggressive

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

We caught the action on the turn with David Bowen as preflop aggressor from the cutoff and Mikel Haab in the small blind. Haab checked the {10-Spades} {6-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} turn and Bowen grabbed some chips. Haab said that he was gonna call every bet that Bowen will make even though his opponent didn't have put his chips over the line and just shuffled some.

Floor was called as Bowen wanted to know if there was any ruling on it and play then carried on as normal. Bowen bet 5,000 and Haab called immediately. On the {3-Clubs} river, Bowen moved all in within a matter of seconds and Haab asked "Can I swear at him?" to which the floor shook his head. "Can I smash him?" he continued while laughing and the table cracked up. "Ok, I fold." Haab then said and Bowen quietly mucked his cards.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Lyttle

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

A short-stacked Darren Lyttle shoved all in for 7,100 from the hijack and Daniel Neilson called him from the small blind.

Neilson: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Lyttle: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Lyttle was well out in front thanks to his kicker, and he notched the double after the board ran out a clean {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Daniel Neilson opened and Tien Phan three-bet to 4,000 before Neilson four-bet to 9,700. Pham responded by making it 19,700 only to have Neilson move all in for 88,000. Pham went deep into the tank - with time eventually being called - and with just a few second remaining, he called all in for his remaining 16,000.

Phan: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Neilson: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Phan hit the rail as Neilson soared to 130,000 in chips.

Colman and Birman Bust

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Josh Barrett raised from under the gun and Julius Colman moved all in for around 8,000 in chips. Barrett called with {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} and turned the nut straight versus {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} on a board of {8-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}.

The seat of Colman wasn't cold yet when Andrew Smith sat down and picked up {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} in his very first hand. One seat over, Paul Birman was unfortunate enough to find {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} as short stack and wished all opponents "good luck guys" after the turn. He was already drawing dead and the board ran out {3-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {8-Spades} {3-Spades}.
