The £100,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event exceeded all expectations thus far, compiling 122 total entries on the first day alone. Only 59 of those entries made it through to the final day, and the number will increase as late registration is still open until the beginning of play for all of the players looking for a shot at the huge prize pool that is in the works.

Leading the way after ten levels of play is Tan Xuan who spun up over five times the initial starting stack and will be starting the day with 1,612,000 in chips. Second on the leaderboard is Canadian pro Timothy Adams with an overly healthy stack of 1,273,000. Adams has been on a heater as of late, cashing in every event so far in the Triton, London series for a total of over two million and is on the verge of adding another here in the main event.

Four pros, Matthias Eibinger (1,123,000), Michael Chi Zang (1,008,000), Sam Greenwood (911,000), and Mike Watson (869,000) all found a top ten stack headed into Day 2 of this event. Greenwood has almost $19 million in career earnings to date and over four million coming in Triton events. Greenwood's biggest triton cash came in this past May during the HK$ 750,000 Short Deck No-Limit Hold'em - Ante Only for an outstanding $1,095,625 and he will be looking to secure a new personal best here in the main event.

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dan Smith opened to 20,000 from the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Dominik Nitsche moved all in for 149,000 on the button holding {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Smith took a moment but called the all in and the two turned over their cards.

Dominik Nitsche: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Dan Smith: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The flop came down {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Smith now picked up some outs to take down the pot if he were to land another nine.

A {5-Spades} hit as a turn card and Nitsche was in a prime position to double. The {8-Spades} completed the board and Nitsche aces took down the pot for a completed double through Smith.

Holz Finds a Lady Against Koon

Nível 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Fedor Holz and Jason Koon moved all of their chips into the middle, tabling their cards with Holz at risk of elimination.

Fedor Holz: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Jason Koon: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The flop came down tragic for Koon as the dealer fanned out {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, giving Holz the lead. A {6-Diamonds} turn and {j-Diamonds} river changed nothing as Holz took down the pot.

Koon had just 8,000 left and busted a couple of hands after to the likes of Holz.

Linus Loeniger Wins Triton Poker £25,000 Event

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Linus Loeliger
Linus Loeliger

The £25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo was scheduled to be completed in one day, but had to be paused with seven players remaining as a handful of those at its final table were set to compete in the series’ biggest event.

Linus Loeliger was the chip leader when the curtain came down at the end of Day 1, and he kept up that momentum to triumph over his remaining six opponents and secure a £690,000 prize, the Swiss pro’s largest-ever live cash.

Michael Soyza was the first player to bust on Day 2 on Aug.4, a result that netted him £122,300. The Malaysian pro was joined on the rail by Kahle Burns who banked £160,000 and British high stakes cash game guru Elior Sion whose fifth-place netted him £202,900.

America’s Cary Katz took his lifetime winnings past the $20 million mark when he collected £251,500 for his fourth-place finish before Timothy Adams added £307,000 to the £1,400,000 he won in the Triton Million event.

Adams’ exit left Lucas Greenwood and Loeliger to battle it out heads-up for the title. Greenwood crashed out in second-place for £466,600, the second-largest cash of his career, only surpassed by the $779,268 he banked for winning the $25,700 High Roller at the 2017 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Loeliger was the man of the hour and padded his bankroll with £690,000.

Nível 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

British superstar Charlie Carrel got his hands on his largest-ever live poker score when he took down the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series London £50,000 Eight-Handed event. A total of 66 players made 43 re-entries between them to create a £5,123,000 prize pool shared among the top 15 finishers.

France’s Benjamin Pollak was the first player to bust in the money, finishing 15th for £87,000. Germany’s Christoph Vogelsang was the next to fall and also collected £87,000. This high stakes duo were followed to the cashier’s desk by Jesus Cortes, and Sam Greenwood who both banked £94,700 before Mikael Thurtiz and Talal Shakerchi busted for £107,500.

Team partypoker’s Isaac Haxton fell in ninth-place to set the official final table; Haxton won £133,000.

Canada’s Daniel Dvoress’ run at the final table didn’t last long and he had to make do with a £182,000 prize for finishing eighth. Jun Wah Yap smashed his personal best with a £238,000 haul for his seventh-place finish before Robert Flink busted in sixth-place for £302,100. Flink finished second in another Super High Roller event in Jeju, South Korea in March for $1,240,829.

Austria’s Matthias Eibinger then exited in fifth-place for a £386,000 addition to his bankroll and was followed to the sidelines by Kahle Burns who took home £481,500 from this event after banking £160,000 from the £25,000 Six-Max Turbo.

Then came the elimination of Loeliger. This third-place bust-out being worth £594,000 making for an excellent couple of days after he won the £25,000 Six-Max Turbo for £690,000. Loeliger’s exit left Jason Koon and Carrel heads-up.

Each was guaranteed £907,000 but there was £1,321,000 awaiting the champion. That champion ended up being Carrel who locked up the third seven-figure prize of his career to date, this one being larger than any other by more than $350,000.

Sam Greenwood

Mike Watson opened to 40,000 from the button with {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Sam Greenwood defended his big blind, holding {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and the flop came down {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Greenwood check-raised to 70,000 with his flopped four and Watson chucked in a call. A {2-Diamonds} landed on the felt, Greenwood led out for 85,000 and Watson obliged.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board and Greenwood checked to Watson who moved all in for 405,000 with just king-high. Greenwood used sevearl time extensions en route to calling the all in with his four.

Watson tabled his king-high and Greenwood instantly showed a flopped four, taking down the pot from his fellow Canadian.
