Tollerene Falls to Andress

Nível 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ben Tollerene
Ben Tollerene

Ben Tollerene was trying to spin his way up in what started as a three-way pot. Stephen Chidwick was in the hijack and he slid in 4,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, earning calls from John Andress on the button and Tollerene in the small blind.

They carried on to the {10-Hearts} where both Tollerene and Chidwick checked. Andress fired 18,000 in position and only Tollerene stuck around, leaving himself with last 25,000.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Tollerene quickly checked. Andress needed a time extension before putting Tollerene all-in. Tollerene himself had already burned all his timebanks so he had to make the decision for his tournament life within 30 seconds. He eventually grabbed his chips and moved them towards the middle.

Tollerene's campaign was over after Andress showed {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, beating his {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Smith Uses All His Time Extension Chips Before Doubling

Nível 4 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Dan Smith Doubles
Dan Smith Doubles

Catching the action on the flop of {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, Dan Smith checked from under the gun to Isaac Haxton who bet 9,500.

Smith called, and when the turn landed the {2-Spades}, he checked to Haxton again. Haxton bet out 45,000, and Smith made the call as the river landed the {2-Clubs}.

Smith checked, and as Haxton's initial 30 second was about to expire, he used a time extension chip.

As Haxton's additional 60 seconds was about to expire, he announced he was all in for 320,500.

Smith immediately stood up and threw out of one his time extension chips.

Smith continually switched from looking directly at an emotionless Haxton, and back to the board, before he would then break down his stack and riffle some chips.

As Smith's additional 60 seconds was about to expire, he flung another time extension chip out in front of the other before he would then use his final one.

With the last few seconds about to expire, and Smith's hand likely to be declared as a fold, Smith announced a call and tabled his {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Haxton nodded, and tabled his {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for a bluff.

Smith's stack was broken down to reveal he had 252,500, and with that pot, he doubled to 625,000 while Haxton dropped to 68,000 in chips.

Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel bet an unknown amount with a T25,000 chip from the button and small blind Larry Greenberg put in a raise to 50,000 with {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} on the felt. Seidel flicked in a call and the river brought a {q-Diamonds}. Greenberg shoved for Seidel's last 78,500.

The poker legend used a time extension and then called but mucked when Greenberg showed {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for turned nuts. The dealer revealed Seidel's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} as he walked away.

Another Sontheimer Win, Another Hellmuth Rant

Nível 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Steffen Sontheimer opened for 4,000 on the button and Phil Hellmuth made it 16,000 in the next seat. Sontheimer came back with 38,000 and Hellmuth used a time extension but then quickly called.

On the {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Hellmuth check-called 22,000. He checked the {8-Diamonds} and Sontheimer put him all in. Hellmuth began muttering to himself.

"They have no idea who I am," Hellmuth said. "Played four One Drops..."

Eventually, he folded. Sontheimer showed the {3-Spades}.

"Of course," Hellmuth said. "Tried to give me money."

"I'd have snap-called," Bill Perkins said.

"All I had was ace-ten high," Hellmuth replied.

Tilston Busts Shak With Turned Straight

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,500 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Dan Shak raised in the first position and found a customer in Keith Tilston, who flatted on the button. Shak continued for 5,000 on the {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop and Tilston called again.

The {J-Hearts} landed on the turn and Shak fired the second barrel, making it 15,000. Tilston woke up with a raise to 55,000 and Shak didn't take much time before announcing he was all-in for about 250,000. Tilston double-checked his hand and called.

Dan Shak: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Keith Tilston: {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Tilston turned the nuts but Shak could still hope for a queen or a jack to improve to a full house. The river was, however, the {K-Hearts} and the dealer verified that Tilston had his opponent covered.

Shak was sent to the rail while on the feature table, Andreas Eiler lost his tournament life to Fedor Holz who now has 773,000.

Kurganov Eliminates Esfandiari

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

Three players saw a {j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop with about 40,000 in the middle. Igor Kurganov bet 19,000 from the button and Antonio Esfandiari made it 53,000 from under the gun. That pushed the third player out, and Kurganov put in a call.

On the {a-Diamonds} turn, things slowed down, at least in terms of tempo. Esfandiari used a time extension and counted down his stack before betting 68,500. Kurganov again called, using his own extension in the process. On the {j-Clubs} river, Esfandiari shoved for about 115,000 and Kurganov quickly called.

"Boat?" Esfandiari asked.

Kurganov nodded and showed {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Esfandiari mucked his {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and wished everyone good luck.

"Good start," Kurganov's neighbor said.

"There's no better river for me in the deck," he responded.

Brian Rast Eliminated
Brian Rast Eliminated

Brian Rast is the first player eliminated from the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl.

From the button, Kathy Lehne raised and Brian Rast called in the big blind.

The flop landed {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Rast checked to Lehne who fired out a continuation bet. Rast responded with a check-raise to roughly 22,500 and Lehne called.

The turn fell the {Q-Hearts} and Rast bet out 30,000 with Lehne making the call as the river landed the {10-Clubs}.

Rast announced he was all in for roughly 220,500 and Lehne quickly called.

Rast tabled his {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a busted straight and flush draw, and just eight-high. Lehne revealed her {9-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the nut straight, and Rast was the first player eliminated.
