Justin Bonomo Leads Final 19 Players in $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl!

Welcome back to the ARIA Resort & Casino for Day 3 of the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl!

Over two days of intense poker action, the starting 56-player field has now been whittled down to just 19 players all fighting it out to reach the final table and money-paying final seven players. Those seven players will all take home a piece of the $16,800,000 prize pool, but it will be the $6,000,000 first prize that everyone will be eyeing. However, before players can breath easy knowing they have padded their bankroll with potential millions, they'll have to survive a Day 3 that is expected to be filled with hot and heavy poker action.

Justin Bonomo ascended up the leaderboard on Monday winning numerous sizeable pots while eliminating players here and there. First he dispatched of Antonio Esfandiari and then Nick Petrangelo before a table move saw him capture a big pot off reigning champion Rainer Kempe when Bonomo flopped trip sevens and managed to find value through a big river bet from Kempe. Bonomo also had position on Daniel Negreanu and applied countless aggression in a plethora of hands until he finished the day as the chip leader with 2,628,000 in chips.

The only other player with over two million in chips is Day 1 chip leader Byron Kaverman who may have had a quiet day in the blog, but continually accumulated chips to continue his rise up the leaderboard. However the story entering today is the fate of the so-called amateurs in the Super High Roller Bowl. All five amateurs remaining bagged top ten chip stacks with Dan Shak (1,482,000), Bill Klein (1,466,000), Leon Tsoukernik (1,335,000), Cary Katz (701,000), and David Einhorn (685,000) all fairing better then many might have expected. On the other end of the leaderboard, Negreanu (225,000), Jason Mercier (243,000), and Zach Hyman (267,000) all sit below starting stack and will be hoping that a rush of cards early can set them on a path to climbing back up the leaderboard.

The plan for today will be to play down to the final table of nine, or a full seven levels, whichever happens first. The cards are expected to be in the air at 1:00 p.m. (PST) with the PokerNews Live Reporting Team providing continuous live updates of all the Super High Roller Bowl action live from the ARIA Resort & Casino.
