Dia 2 Começado
The first step has been made in the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event 2nd Chance] and the remaining 42 survivors out of 465 entries have reached the basecamp after 24 levels of 20 minutes each let the bubble burst on Day 1.
Some prizes of the $2,325,000 and all remaining contenders have $11,735.67 locked up thus far with 39th place to earn the first pay jump. However, all eyes are set on the six-figure scores for the top five finishers, the SCOOP title and the $416,741.68 top prize that is reserved for the eventual champion.
Jans "Graftekkel" Arends spun his third and final entry in the tournament to a massive stack of 9,351,977, well ahead of second-placed "temka99" from Moldova with 6,393,999 and third-placed Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani with 5,356,025. There is, however, no guarantee that the Dutchman will also climb all the way to the top of the mountain as plenty of other notables remain in contention.
Top 10 stacks for Day 2 belong to Will "hellzito" Arruda (4,432,848), Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas (4,099,676), Andrew "ClockWyze" Pantling (4,038,499), and Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja (3,985,022) to name a few while Sylvain "caIcuIer_" Loosli (3,778,756), Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson (3,674,366), Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche (3,571,505) and Daniel "DANMERRRRRRR" Merrilees (2,871,503) also return with above-average stacks.
Just a few days ago, Alex "dynoalot" Difelice finished third in the SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 Main Event and the Canadian has 1,823,622 at his disposal, former SCOOP-H Main Event champion Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel (1,500,796), Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv (1,337,314) and Mike "gorodski" Gorodinsky (1,228,748) are also in the mix among the shorter stacks.
The action is set to resume at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time with returning blinds of 35,000-70,000 and a running ante of 8,750. As of Day 2 and for the remainder of the tournament, each level lasts 30 minutes each and the time bank will be topped up by 10 seconds for each hour played as well as when the final table has been reached.
The penultimate tournament day will conclude once the final nine players have been determined and the PokerNews live reporting team will provide all the action along the way until a new SCOOP high stakes winner has been crowned.
