Pantling No More

Nível 28 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Andrew "ClockWyze" Pantling lost a big chunk of his stack when he paid off the valuebet of Alfred "Kzzon" Karlsson on the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} river and was shown {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} for the second nuts.

Down to 1.9 million, Pantling three-bet jammed in the small blind and was called by Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv from under the gun.

Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board ended Pantling's run in 22nd place.

Carrel Included In Next Casualties

Nível 26 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

"Hasseh922" got his shorter stack in with the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas looked him up with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} in the small blind. The board came {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts} and that spelled the end for the Finn.

Next to fall was Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel in a three-way all-in. Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak had raised to 160,000 and Carrel pushed for nearly 1.9 million from one seat over on the button. Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja jammed for 5.7 million in the big blind and Novak eventually called.

Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Novak scored a pot of nearly 9 million.

More for Arruda; Arends and Mattsson

Nível 25 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante

Will "hellzito" Arruda raised to 140,000 and called a three-bet to 440,000 by Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas to see the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop on which both checked. Arruda bet the {10-Hearts} turn for 820,000 and jammed the {6-Diamonds} river to force a fold from Bujtas.

Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson defended out of the big blind against a raise by "temka99" and check-raised the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop to 453,866, which "temka99" called. Mattsson bet the {5-Diamonds} turn for 696,278 and picked up a call to then jam the {2-Clubs} river and force a fold.

In the meanwhile, Jans "graftekkel" Arends has pulled off further ahead at the top after scooping a big pot against "patapong". Arends raised to 140,000 and "patapong" called in the cutoff. They checked the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and Arends check-raised the {8-Spades} turn from 173,250 to 652,575, which his opponent called.

After the {2-Spades} river, Arends fired a bet of 1,281,105 and tabled the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for quads once he was called to rake in the pot.

Who Will Reach the Final Table of the 2020 SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 Main Event 2nd Chance?

Alex Difelice
Alex Difelice

The first step has been made in the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event 2nd Chance] and the remaining 42 survivors out of 465 entries have reached the basecamp after 24 levels of 20 minutes each let the bubble burst on Day 1.

Some prizes of the $2,325,000 and all remaining contenders have $11,735.67 locked up thus far with 39th place to earn the first pay jump. However, all eyes are set on the six-figure scores for the top five finishers, the SCOOP title and the $416,741.68 top prize that is reserved for the eventual champion.

Jans "Graftekkel" Arends spun his third and final entry in the tournament to a massive stack of 9,351,977, well ahead of second-placed "temka99" from Moldova with 6,393,999 and third-placed Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani with 5,356,025. There is, however, no guarantee that the Dutchman will also climb all the way to the top of the mountain as plenty of other notables remain in contention.

Top 10 stacks for Day 2 belong to Will "hellzito" Arruda (4,432,848), Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas (4,099,676), Andrew "ClockWyze" Pantling (4,038,499), and Mark "AceSpades11" Radoja (3,985,022) to name a few while Sylvain "caIcuIer_" Loosli (3,778,756), Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson (3,674,366), Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche (3,571,505) and Daniel "DANMERRRRRRR" Merrilees (2,871,503) also return with above-average stacks.

Just a few days ago, Alex "dynoalot" Difelice finished third in the SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 Main Event and the Canadian has 1,823,622 at his disposal, former SCOOP-H Main Event champion Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel (1,500,796), Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv (1,337,314) and Mike "gorodski" Gorodinsky (1,228,748) are also in the mix among the shorter stacks.

The action is set to resume at 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time with returning blinds of 35,000-70,000 and a running ante of 8,750. As of Day 2 and for the remainder of the tournament, each level lasts 30 minutes each and the time bank will be topped up by 10 seconds for each hour played as well as when the final table has been reached.

The penultimate tournament day will conclude once the final nine players have been determined and the PokerNews live reporting team will provide all the action along the way until a new SCOOP high stakes winner has been crowned.
