The stakes have been ramped up for the second Sunday of the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) with the SCOOP Edition of the Sunday High Roller in Event #44-H: $5,200 NLHE ready to begin at 1 p.m. ET.

A guaranteed prize pool of $1 million is featured in this event, which will take place over a two-day period, and with the stakes having been raised from last week’s $2,100 buy-in version of this same event, the accompanying prestige of winning is certain to follow suit.

Late registration is open for the first four hours and 45 minutes of play, closing sharply at 5:45 p.m. ET. Players are allowed up to two re-entries during the registration period should they become eliminated and wish to fire again.

This tournament’s structure features starting stacks of 250,000 and blinds beginning at 1,200/2,400 with an ante of 300. The first 18 levels will be 20 minutes in length, and they will increase to a half-hour at the beginning of Level 19, staying that way for the remainder of the event. Day 1 will continue until play reaches the money, at which point the tournament will be paused for the evening with players set to return for Day 2 on Monday at 1 p.m. ET.

Familiar names to the poker world such as Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder, Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit, Artur "mararthur1" Martirosyan, and Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof" have already claimed SCOOP-H titles, and another will have the opportunity to add their name to that list when this two-day race concludes Monday evening.

PokerNews will be providing updates on all the high-stakes action that is about to unfold. Stick around and be sure to catch it all.
