Astedt Takes the Chip Lead

Nível 1 : 250/500, 60 ante
Niklas Åstedt
Niklas Åstedt

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt is the top-ranked online tournament player in the world according to PocketFives. He is off to a good early start and has the chip lead.

"diesanser" opened to 1,000 from early position before they called a three-bet from Astedt from the big blind to 4,500.

Astedt bet 6,500 after the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} came on the flop and got a call. He then bet 22,500 after the {2-Clubs} came on the turn and was called again.

The {4-Spades} completed the board on the river and Astedt jammed enough to cover the 56,813 remaining in his opponents stack. His opponent called and got the bad news.

Astedt turned over {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for top set, which easily beat the second pair held by his opponent with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.
