Day 1b Of The Cleveland RGPS Main Event Begins at 12:15

After 153 entrants came out to play yesterday, The RunGood Poker Series Road Trip $1,000 Main Event begins its second day of registration at 12:15 today atJACK Casino in Cleveland, Ohio. This event is the seventh event of the series so far and it will be one of two $1,000 buy ins, the second of which comes in the form of the inaugural $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship.

Leading the way is Shmaryahu Lewis, who ended their day with 558,000. The Pot-Limit Omaha cash game regular secured his first RGPS cash as he has put himself in tentpole position for a title. Nipping at his heels is Daniel Swartz, who ended his day with 540,000. Also finding bags were PokerNews Cup final tablist Kyle Gross (497,000), Mark Scheeler (404,000), Nicholas Rigby (267,000), and Anthony Carbone (88,000). Each one of them is looking for their first RGPS main event title.

This week so far has seen plenty of RunGood ambassadors come out to play and collect trophies. Players like Emily Berglund, Daniel Hughes, Michael Lech, and WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymer have all made appearances this week and will likely fire again today, in the hopes of collecting a bag.

Players will start the tournament with 30,000 chips. Blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante, with levels lasting 40 minutes. A break will occur after every three levels. Play will complete when the field reaches level 18, or when just 13.5% of the field remains.

Carlin Sends One Home Early

Thomas Carlin raised to 600 in the cutoff and Gabriel Jarrous called in the big blind.

On the flop 310Q flop, the big blind led out for 1,500 which prompted Carlin to raise to 5,000 which Jarrous called.

The turn came out a 5 and Jarrous checked over to Carlin who bet 10,000 and Jarrous called.

Jarrous moved all in for 10,400 on the 8 river and Carlin snap called with the covering stack.

Carlin's set was good for the pot as he raked in a sizable pot early in the tournament.

Rogoff Had "Lot's of Backdoors"

Shaun Emery called in early position which saw Brad Rogoff raise to 1,200 which saw Fernando Zuliani call in the small blind, Alexander Nichiporuk call in the big blind, and Shaun Emery call in first position.

The flop came out J82 and action checked around to Rogoff who bet 1,300 on the flop which saw only Nichiporuk and Emery call.

Action checked through on the 6 turn which saw a river of a K which saw action check to Rogoff who put in 3,500. Nichiporuk quickly folded but Emery tossed in a reluctant call, then mucked when seeing the K5 in Rogoff's hand.

"Lot's of backdoors huh Brad?" asked one of his tablemates, and Rogoff cracked a smile as the pot was pushed towards him.

Evanchuck Takes It On River

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Khyler Fields in the cutoff and Andrew Evanchuck on the button, with 10,900.

On the board reading JQ87, Fields checked over to Evanchuck who bet 2,800 which Fields called after some thought.

The river peeled off a 5 and Fields checked once more to Evanchuck who bet 5,000 and after some consideration, Fields mucked his hand, ceding the pot to Evanchuck.
