Day 2 of the PokerStars WCOOP-72-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] will restart at 7:10 p.m. CEST with more entries than the 2,006 players who survived Day 1 as the late registration is open until 7:05 p.m.

On Day 1, 6,500 entries were collected to create a prize pool of $3,250,000 which easily surpasses the initial $2,000,000 guarantee that was set but with almost 200 extra entries already with another hour to go, the prize pool will only go up more.

Brazil's Guilherme "Guizãoo_" Carmo claimed the Day 1 chip lead with 1,786,242 and is followed in the counts by Eelis "EEE27" Pärssinen (1,374,760), "Sektor17" (1,319,456), "Netstorm" (1,268,460), and Adam "ISmellToast" Crawford (1,247,007) to make up the top five.

Players like Lonnie "thx4urm0n3y" Hallett, PokerStars Ambassador Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas, Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov, Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro, Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov, Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos, Cristian "Progre69" Sampaoli, Narcis "Narcisus90" Nedelcu, Manuel "fellatiado" Ruivo, Phillipe "takechip" D’Auteui, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Nicolas "niccc" Chouity, and Andrey "ThePateychuk" Pateychuk are among the more familiar names in the top 100 of the counts.

When the players return for Day 2, they will play Level 17 which features a small blind of 3,000, a big blind of 6,000, and a running ante of 750. The level duration will be reduced to 20 minutes and play will continue until there are 80 players left for Day 3 which starts at 7:05 p.m CEST on Tuesday, September 22. On Day 3, they will continue play until the final table has been reached which will resume on Day 4 on Wednesday.
