Nelepo10 vs deadfizh
Nelepo10 vs deadfizh

Two hands after "fpfeifer97"'s demise, the next player had to depart from the final table. It was Finland's "deadfizh" who ran out of chips. Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa opened second to act with a min-raise to 1,400,000.

Next to him, "deadfizh" three-bet to 4,900,000, over half his stack, and action got back to Ulysséa. The Brazilian four-bet enough to put the Finn all in and the latter called it off.

"deadfizh": {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

If "deadfizh" was merely in trouble before the flop, he was basically completely dead after the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop landedt, leaving him drawing to the case ace to chop. The {4-Diamonds} turn and {7-Clubs} river completed the rundown and "deadfizh" departed in 7th for $20,599.

Paulius "D3cor" Vaitiekunas Eliminated in 6th Place ($28,897)

Nível 41 : 350,000/700,000, 87,500 ante
Paulius Vaitiekunas
Paulius Vaitiekunas

Paulius "D3cor" Vaitiekunas raised to 1,400,000 from middle position and Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa three-bet to 4,900,000 from the small blind.

Vaitiekunas four-bet to 16,450,000, almost all his chips, Ulysséa stuck the rest in and the Lithuanian called.

Paulius "D3cor" Vaitiekunas: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Ulysséa had Vaitiekunas pipped with the jacks and no help appeared on a {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board, making Vaitiekunas the fourth player in quick succession to leave the final table.

Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira on his Player of the Year SCOOP Performance

Nível 41 : 350,000/700,000, 87,500 ante
Rui Ferreira
Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira; SCOOP 2020 Player of the Year

Throughout the Spring Championship of Online Poker 2020, one particular screen name cropped up more than most on the daily results sheet. That name? “RuiNF”. The player? Portugal’s Rui Ferreira.

While he couldn’t quite clinch a SCOOP title in 2020, Ferreira had so many close calls (nine final tables) and cashes (more than 100!) that he would ultimately be crowned the SCOOP 2020 Player of the Year.

In doing so, he banked a beautiful bonus of $50,000.

The Portuguese grinder spoke with the PokerStars Blog a few weeks after the series and provided insight on his run and some amazing advice on how to crush big tournaments.

"Boootsy" Climbing

Nível 42 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

With four winners in a row, Canadian "Boootsy" appears to be getting some momentum and handed over the bottom spot to Eli "Timunim" Fagundes. In the biggest of the four hands, "Boootsy" raised to 1,600,000 and Patrick "Nelepo10" Ulysséa defended.

ON the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Ulysséa checked, "Boootsy" bet 2,050,000, Ulysséa check-raised to 5,520,000 and "Boootsy" called. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and Ulysséa check-folded to a 13,708,580 shove.

The five remaining players are on a 5-minute break. Earlier, Eli "Timunim" Fagundes doubled with ace-queen through Michael "munchenHB" Telker's pocket eights, and the latter has barely won a pot since to surrender the lead.

Xiaoxiao "W.Leung" Niao Eliminated in 5th Place ($40,538)

Boootsy vs W.Leung
Boootsy vs W.Leung

In back-to-back hands, Xiaoxiao "W.Leung" Niao met his demise to leave the field with four players. In the first hand, it was the Brazilian who raised to 1,600,000 second to act.

Eli "Timunim" Fagundes three-bet to 6,400,000 from the small blind, Niao four-bet shoved for 33,329,304 and Fagundes, after slight hesitation, called it off for 19,681,606 more.

Eli "Timunim" Fagundes: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Xiaoxiao "W.Leung" Niao: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic race between two monster hands and Fagundes' queens remained ahead during the {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} rundown.

Left with a little over 7M, Niao shoved from under the gun the next hand and was looked up by "Booosty" in the big blind.

Xiaoxiao "W.Leung" Niao: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}
"Boootsy": {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Despite picked up a double gutter along the way to go with his overcards, Niao couldn't get there on a {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to depart in 5th place ($40,538).
