David Urban has left the tournament area right after being crippled in a big hand against Adrian Mateos. In a three-bet pot, Urban emptied the clip from the small blind on a board with barrels of 15,000, 25,500 and an all in of slightly over 60,000.
Mateos called the flop, called the turn and snap-called the river with . Urban couldn't beat that and was left with just 1,200, which he lost the hand after.
Dan Smith and Ivan Luca have been eliminated, and the former took the re-entry and joined table one with the words "mind if I join you guys?" while a hand was going on. Romain Lewis limped in from the cutoff, as did Oleksii Khoroshenin on the button and David Peters in the small blind. Joao Simao checked his option in the big blind and the flop fell .
The action checked to Khoroshenin, who bet 2,700, and just Simao called. After the turn, Simao checked and folded quickly when Khoroshenin fired 17,000.
According to the screens, there are now 170 entries in the field and this includes 35 re-entries. Of those, 100 players remain and Robert Heidorn, Emil Patel as well as Mustapha Kanit were among the hopefuls on their second bullet. Tom-Aksel Bedell was eliminated and walked in with a new ticket in the hand, but that was apparently for a different side event.
After a raise by Dan Smith from under the gun, short stack Jean-Noel Thorel got his last 12,400 in from the button. The action folded back to Smith and he called with the . Thorel only had and was ready to go and purchase a re-entry.
However, the board came and the eight on the river saved Thorel. Smith was left short while Felix Bleiker was spotted leaving the tournament area.
John Juanda finished third in the €25k High Roller two days ago for €266,550 but will not be adding to that score today. Juanda was all-in for his last 25,000 against Vladimir Troyanovskiy.
