Kozlov Next to Fall

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Martin Kozlov
Martin Kozlov

Troy Quenneville opened the action with a raise from the cutoff and Martin Kozlov shoved for 134,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way, and Quenneville called to put Kozlov at risk.

Martin Kozlov: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Troy Quenneville: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Kozlov had gotten it in with the best of it, but the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop saw Quenneville improve to a pair of queens. Things got infinitely worse on the {Q-Hearts} turn, as Kozlov was left drawing dead. An already insignificant {K-Hearts} on the river completed the board and Kozlov had to settle for the min cash.

Ramos Hits the Rail

Nível 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

With the departure of Felipe Ramos there are now no PokerStars Team Pros left in the field with Sergey Lebedev sending the Brazilian to the rail.

Ramos was the aggressor in the hand, opening to 14,000 from middle position before Lebedev re-raised to 40,000 in total from the hi-jack. The rest of the table quickly got out of the way and Ramos moved all-in for what looked to be around 350,000 with Lebedev calling instantly without even asking for a count.

The cards were turned over and Ramos, holding {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, found himself racing for his tournament life against Lebedev’s {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Ramos the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades} to see Lebedev pair his ace to take a lead he would not relinquish when the {7-Spades} turn and {5-Diamonds} ran out to complete the hand, with the Russian stacking up to 777,000 when the dust settled.

Dvoress Busts to Attenborough

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Michael Addamo raised it up to 18,000 and Daniel Dvoress moved all in for the last 78,000 from the button. Adrian Attenborough sat in the big blind and gave it some consideration, then moved all in himself for around 300,000. Addamo got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Daniel Dvoress: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Adrian Attenborough: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

Attenborough started cutting out the chips to pay off his opponent and then the flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} to give the Aussie a set. On the {8-Hearts} turn, nothing much changed and the {2-Clubs} river officially ended the tournament of Dvoress in 18th place for HL$210,000.

Zhong Wang Eliminated in 17th to Set Up Redraw

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Zhong Wang
Zhong Wang

Flush from his recent double-up Xiaoyang Luo opened the action from late position and Zhong Wang moved all-in over the top for his last 200,000.

Luo thought it over and ran the shot clock down to 10-second before deciding the chance to eliminate a player was too good to pass up on and made the call.

Xhong Wang: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Xiaoyang Luo: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop was a very sweaty {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and despite holding the best hand in poker Wang could not hold on to his lead. The {10-Clubs} turn gave Luo more outs to go with his open-ended straight draw and caught one of them when the {q-Hearts} hit the river to give him two pairs to send Wang crashing out of the tournament.

Play paused here as the 16 remaining players are now redrawing for new seats.

Shuo Li Eliminated in 16th Place (HK$236,000)

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Shuo Li
Shuo Li

Within two hands, the hopes of Shuo Li to make yet another final table here in Macau have vanished and he departed in 16th place.

Hand 1

Nick Petrangelo raised to 25,000 from under the gun and Li three-bet to 71,000 from the cutoff, which Petrangelo called. On the {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, the American checked and Li continued for 75,000, which Petrangelo called.

After the {10-Clubs} turn, Petrangelo bet 115,000 and Li asked how much stack he had behind before moving all in for a very similar stack. Petrangelo quickly called and the cards were turned over.

Nick Petrangelo: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}
Shuo Li: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {Q-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever, and Li was reduced to just 29,000 chips.

Hand 2

Two hands later, he tossed in the last red T-25,000 chip and Xiaoyang Luo moved all in from the button to isolate successfully.

Shuo Li: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Xiaoyang Luo: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Li had to settle for a payday worth HK$236,000, which equals approximately $30,680.

Adrian Attenborough
Adrian Attenborough

Adrian Attenborough moved all-in for the last of his chips from under-the-gun and action folded around to Sergey Lebedev in the big blind who quickly called and the cards were turned over.

Adrian Attenborough: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Sergey Lebedev: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

While Attenborough was in front the Australian player could not maintain his lead when the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} {5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} with Lebedev spiking top pair on the river to send Attenborough to the rail in 15th place for a payday worth US$ 34,060).

Yang Wang Eliminated in 14th Place (HK$262,000)

Yang Wang
Yang Wang

The eliminations are coming thick and fast now and almost immediately after the departure of Xiaoyang Luo we lose Yang Wang.

Wang had literally just moved into the big blind, taking the seat of the recently departed Shuo Li and action folded around to Raghav Bansal in the small blind who put the Wang all-in. The Chinese player peeked down at his cards and quickly called.

Yang Wang: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Raghav Bansal: {5-Spades}{6-Spades}

The trend of the best hand being beaten continued when the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to give the Indian player the straight and Wang headed for the exit to collect the same money as previous casualty Attenborough.

Xiaoyang Luo

A scant two hands after the exit of Yang Wang and we lost another player, with Raghav Bansal doing the honors once again.

Bansal juiced it up from late position to 27,000 and Luo moved all-in from the big blind. The Indian player called instantly and the cards were turned over.

Xiaoyang Luo: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Raghav Bansal: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to give Bansal a straight draw to go with his pair and while Luo briefly took the lead when the {a-Hearts} landed on the turn the {5-Diamonds} river gave the Indian player the straight and he busted another. Talk about catching hands at the right time. Luo headed for the cash desk to collect the equivalent of US$ 37,440 and Bansal stacked up to over 1.9 million.

Manig Loeser Eliminated in 12th Place (HK$288,000)

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

After losing two pots without showdown, Manig Loeser was down to just over 300,000 and faced a raise to 28,000 by Troy Quenneville on the button. Loeser clicked it back to 82,000 out of the big blind and Quenneville moved all in. Loeser stood up for a mere second to check on the second table and called.

Manig Loeser: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Troy Quenneville: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop of {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades} saw Loeser hit top pair, but all that was worthless when the {10-Hearts} on the turn completed a straight for Quenneville. Loeser needed a queen and a queen only to chop, but the {2-Hearts} river bricked to eliminate the German in 12th place for HK$288,000 (~$37,440).

Michael Addamo Eliminated in 11th Place (HK$330,000)

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

In the previous hands over on table two, Michael Addamo first gave up a pot against Xixiang Luo and then raised to 27,000 from the button only to fold to a three-bet by Raghav Bansal.

Soon after, Addamo raised to 28,000 from under the gun and Nick Petrangelo flat-called in the big blind. On a flop of {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Petrangelo checked and Addamo bet 33,000 with around 170,000 behind. Petrangelo moved all in and the Aussie called it off.

Michael Addamo: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Nick Petrangelo: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Addamo was looking for a club in order to double, but the {8-Spades} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river saw the next player join the rail only minutes after the elimination of Manig Loeser. Addamo picked up a payday of HK$330,000 (~$42,900) for his efforts and there were just 10 players remaining on two tables.
