Sun Not Shining

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

We have an early casualty in the form of Sheng Sun, who has just departed at the hands of Anthony Diotte.

We did not arrive in time to catch any of the pre-flop action but Sun had the all-in triangle on the felt in front of him when we arrived on the river, along with all his chips.

It appears that Diotte was the man to shove first as he is the man who has to show first. With the community cards reading {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} Diotte turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the turned straight.

Sun threw his cards into the muck, but being as this was an all-in and a call the rule is Sun must showdown so the dealer reached in and obligingly turned over Sun’s {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. It does not look as though Sun fancies the second bullet and he headed for the rail.

Canlin Chen has recently joined the action and will be eager to see if he can best his third place finish in the HK$206,000 Single Re-Entry Shot Clock II.

Egan Fires Three Barrels against Lovgren

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

After a raise to 525 by Sofia Lovgren from early position, Michael Egan three-bet to 1,800 and just Lovgren called. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Lovgren checked, then called a bet worth 2,000 before doing so again on the {6-Spades} turn for more.

Ultimately, the {2-Spades} appeared on the river and Lovgren checked for the third street in a row. Egan bet 13,000 and that won the pot uncontested.

One hand later, Hongjun Zhao raised to 525 and Egan three-bet to 1,800. Matthew Moss four-bet to 4,800 and all opponents including Zhao and Egan folded.

And Then Some More

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

David Peters started Day 4 of the Main Event with a big stack, but just sat down in the High Roller while Dejan Boskovic Jr, Roman Korenev, Sergio Aido, JC Alvarado and Manig Loeser were all about to get seated as well. And an all Aussie table is possible by now, maybe even two, as Michael Addamo and Alexander Lynskey also signed up.

Loeser already had some success in the High Roller Events here in Macau, finishing third in the HK$400,000 Super High Roller, while Korenev was part of a three-way deal with Addamo in the initial HK$82,400 High Roller.

Guerrero Pushes Out Davoudi, Burns Rivers Nyberg

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante
Kahle Burns
Kahle Burns

Amir Davoudi popped it up to 525 from under-the-gun and neighbour Jimmy Guerrero made the call, as did HK$206,000 Single Re-Entry Shot Clock I Champion Quan Zhou in the big blind.

Both Zhou and Davoudi checked the {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop over with Guerrero attempting to seize the initiative with a bet of 525 with Davoudi the only caller.

Davoudi checked the {8-Clubs} turn over to Guerrero, who continued to tell a believable story with a second bet of 900. That was enough to get Davoudi to give it up and Guerrero wins a small one.

We caught a slightly bigger pot developing between Louis Nyberg and Kahle Burns on a flop of {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, with Nyberg checking the action over to Burns who bet out 1,100. Nyberg check-raised to 3,300 and Burns gave him the eyeball before throwing in the extras to make the call.

Nyberg now led the {3-Hearts} turn for 7,500 and Burns ran the clock down to 10 seconds before calling to bring the action to the {5-Clubs} river.

Now Nyberg threw out two yellow 5k chips for a bet of 10,000 and Burns quickly called. Nyberg showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades} but had just been rivered by Burns’ {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the pot is shipped the Australian’s way.

Felipe Ramos Enters

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Among those to enter the field towards the end of level two was also PokerStars Team Pro Felipe Ramos, who finished third in yesterday's Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller Event. He was closely followed by Shuo Li, Mikita Badziakouski and Sergey Lebedev.

Badziakouski bagged himself a nice payday in the second edition of the HK$206,0000, finishing runner up to Oliver Weis some 14 hours ago, and the Belorussian is looking for another deep run.

In the meantime, Sheng Sun and Stevan Chew were eliminated and have the option to fire a second bullet.

Salter Loses Two Time Bank Chips

Nível 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the four-way turn showing {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}, the action checked to Huidong Gu and the local player bet 4,500 in the cutoff. Jack Salter called in the big blind before Louis Nyberg moved all in. Nyberg then asked the dealer "you can re-enter, right?" and Gu folded.

Suddenly, Salter was made aware that he only had five seconds left on the shot clock and took more time, thus one chip for the extra time bank was forfeited. Salter then took another 30 seconds to make up his mind and the second chip vanished before the Brit eventually folded.

Nyberg asked tournament floor nearby if he could give one of the time bank chips to Salter, but that request was denied.

Adams Back on Track

Nível 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Rory Young is among the select few players that already increased their stacks significantly in the first two levels of the day, and Harpreet Gill is another, though he just lost a smaller pot.

Joining the three-way action on the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, Gill in the small blind and Timothy Adams in the big blind checked, Mikita Badziakouski checked behind. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Gill bet 1,200 and both opponents called before the {K-Hearts} came on the river.

Gill checked, Adams bet 4,200 and that forced two folds. With that hand, Adams moved back to near starting stack after a rather mediocre start into the day earlier on.
