Jones Gets Counterfeit But Still Wins

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/100, 0 ante

Action was picked up in a hand between Yolanda Jones in early position and another player in middle position.

The board read K78 and Jones bet 1,200 which her opponent called.

Jones bet once more on the 10 turn, this time to the tune of 2,400 and her opponent called again while both players checked the K river.

"I got counterfeit," said Jones as she turned over 87 for what was eights and sevens, but turned into kings and eights. It was good against her opponent's J6 for a missed flush draw and she took down an early pot.

At other tables in the tournament, Alex Fitzgerald and Rudy Cervantes sat down to play.
