Ravi Leads The Survivors Into Day 2 of The PokerNews Cup

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Manoj Ravi
Manoj Ravi

The final flight for entry into The $1,100 PokerNews Cup Mystery Bounty at Golden Nugget Las Vegas saw a massive turnout of 1,015. The prize pool has ballooned to $2,261,070 with $904,428 going into the bounties and $1,356,642 going into the main prizepool. 127 players from today will join the other 165 from the other flights to play for the title and the bounties.

Leading the way is Manoj Ravi who bagged 1,060,000. Ravi spent most of the day with a massive stack and even four levels away from bag held a bigger stack than any of the previous days’ chip leaders. The Indian-born player secures his first cash from The Golden Nugget and with the only stack over one million chips. He looks to have a good chance to take a decent number of bounty prizes. With $125,475 in lifetime earnings, he also looks like he's headed for his best career cash.

Other notables who made their way through the day included Ruslan Sladkov (687,000), who saw a hero call towards the end of the night put him towards the top of the chip counts; EPT champion Raffaele Sorrentino (503,000); and WSOP bracelet winners David Jackson (335,000), Harrison Gimbel (319,000), Daniel Lazrus (258,000), and Joe Ebanks (64,000). They were joined by other notables like Ebony Kenney (195,000), Kevin Garosshen (186,000), and Bobby Noel (64,000). Each one looking to secure some bounties and chase the coveted PokerNews cup.

Play ended with 16:25 left on the clock in Level 17 where blinds are 4,000/8,000. The players in this flight will join up with the players from the prior two flights, seeing a total of 292 players returning tomorrow, June 2, at noon at The Golden Nugget.
