Adam Hendrix

Andriy Lyubovetskiy opened the action from under the gun to 15,000 and it folded around to Adam Hendrix in the small blind who moved all in for 46,000. Lyubovetskiy quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Adam Hendrix: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Hendrix was ahead with his pair of kings until the board ran out {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and the full house for Lyubovetskiy scored the pot to send Hendrix to the rail in ninth place.

Andrew Pantling
Andrew Pantling

Andrew Pantling raised to 15,000 on the button and was called by Andriy Lyubovetskiy in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and Lyubovetskiy check-called the 16,000 bet from Pantling.

The {k-Clubs} was the turn and Lyubovetskiy checked. Pantling fired 52,000 before Lyubovetskiy moved all in for around 150,000 effective. Pantling called for his tournament life.

Andrew Pantling: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Lyubovetskiy had top two pair while Pantling had the nut flush draw and a gutshot straight draw. The river came the {q-Spades} giving Lyubovetskiy a full house which sent Pantling to the rail as the final table bubble boy.

After 16 levels of play on Day 1 of the $25,000 PLO High Roller in the PokerStars Carribean Adventure in the luxious Baha Mar Resort, it was Jeremy Ausmus who bagged the chip lead with an impressive 385,000. Close on his heels is Finland's Joni Jouhkimainen (336,000) and Andriy Lyubovetskiy (274,000) to round out the top three.

Day 1 saw a total of 44 entries join the PLO streets to create a prizepool of $1,056,440, and after the dust settled, only ten hopefuls remain in the hunt for the $364,440 top prize.

Many notables joined the field throughout the day, and some who couldn't find a bag included Cary Katz, Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb, and 2019 $10,000 PCA PLO High Roller runner-up Cliff Josephy.

Ausmus is a high stakes regular with over $13 Million in live tournament earnings, and after having already won a PCA trophy this trip in Event #17: $2,200 Deep Stack less than a week ago, he will have his sights set on adding another title to his collection.
