Goran Mandic Eliminated by Jack Sinclair

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

While we didn't catch all the action, we did see Jack Sinclair holding {A-}{A-} and raking in a big pot. Goran Mandic's chips were being sent over to Sinclair. According to some players at the table, Mandic had moved all in before the flop and Sinclair called with his aces while Mandic held {K-}{K-}.

"Poor dude," Maurice Hawkins said, who was also seated at the table. "Bluffed off 80% of his stack and finally woke up with kings. Nice hand man.

Sinclair raked in the pot and the former 2017 Main Event final tablist bolstered his stack to nearly 50,000.

Maduka Meragal Takes It on the River

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a player raised to 900 under the gun, Francisco Picasso Candamo called from the cutoff and the player on the button came along. Maduka Meragal put in an additional 500 from the big blind and four players saw a flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Two checks saw Candamo bet 1,600 and only Meragal called to see the {J-Diamonds} turn, which they both checked.

When the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river, Meragal led out for 2,400 and that did the trick as Candamo gave it up.

Mike Wang Bluffs His Chips Away

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Mike Wang was involved recently in a pot with Sergei Shchiptsov. When we arrived at the table, Wang, first to act, had shoved all in with a covering stack on Shchiptsov. Action was on the river with over 14,000 already in the pot. Shchiptsov would have to call for the remained of his stack, a bit over 10,000, if he wanted to call. He was in the tank when we approached the table. The board read {9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

It took him a bit to make the decision but eventually, Shchiptsov called. Wang turned up his {8-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a missed straight draw. Shchiptsov looked at the hand for a few seconds before realizing he'd won, turning over his {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}. His pair of nines, with the pair of jacks on the board, allowed him to take down the pot while Wang was caught bluffing and forced to send over a little less than half his stack.

Henry Strasser Bets Off Maurice Hawkins

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

With 1,500 in the pot and a flop of {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Maurice Hawkins bet 700 from the small blind and Ankush Mandavia called from the big.

Henry Strasser then raised to 2,300 from the big blind, Hawkins called, and Mandavia got out of the way.

After the dealer burned and turned the {2-Hearts}, Hawkins checked and Strasser bet 4,600. Hawkins snap-folded.

Despite losing that hand, Hawkins is still up from the last time we checked in with him. As for Strasser

Denis Simard Takes on "Big Huni"

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Five players each put in 1,100 to see a {4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. Four of them checked to Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen on the button, and he bet 2,400.

Only Canada's Denis Simard, who was under the gun, made the call and then both players checked the {K-Hearts} turn.

Action again went check-check on the {6-Spades} river and Simard tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. It was good as Hunichen sent his hand to the muck.

Richard Seymour Finds a Double Up

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Catching up to the action in a multiway pot, former NFL defensive lineman Richard Seymour has the action. It's been checked to him on a board showing {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and there is already 16,000 in the pot. Seymour moves all in for a right around 8,5000 and gets a fold from one of his opponents. The other player in the hand, Alessandro De Fenza, drops into the tank. De Fenza thinks for nearly 3 minutes as camera crews begin to swarm around the table to see what's going on.

Eventually, someone calls a clock on the player. De Fenza continues to think through the hand then finally decides to call. Seymour turns over {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a full house and that allows him to double up through De Fenza who mucks his hand and send over the chips.

The former NFL star had a rocky start to his tournament, dropping nearly half his stack, but is now back over the starting stack marking sitting close to a healthy 37,000 chips.
