Lyubovetskiy Eliminated by Maurer after a Brutal River

Koray Aldemir opened with a raise to 23,000 from early position and he was called by Andriy Lyubovetskiy in the cutoff seat. Florian Maurer was in the big blind and he three-bet, making it 80,000. Aldemir quickly released, but Lyubovetskiy dropped into the tank. Eventually, he decided to move all in for a total of 431,000. It was Maurer's turn to take a dip in the tank and he thought for a couple of minutes before deciding to call.

The flop of was good for Lyubovetskiy as it provided Maurer with no additional outs, and he remained in the lead on the turn as well. But, just as it did for Barry Greenstein yesterday, the dropped on the river, taking Lyubovetskiy from a massive favorite to out of the tournament with the turn of a card. With Lyubovetskiy's elimination, the final 24 players are now on a break as they wait for a redraw.
