PCA National Champ Maria Konnikova Falls in 42nd Place

Maria Konnikova, who a few days back rocked the poker world by winning the 2018 PCA National, started today dead last in chips, and unfortunately, she wasn't able to spin it up.

In what would be her final hand, Aleksandr Milyaev raised to 17,000 from the cutoff and Konnikova reraised all in on the button for her last 51,000. Chip leader Karl Stark then four-bet to 100,000 and called when Milyaev moved all in for 247,000.

Konnikova needed a lot of help, but it never came as the board ran out a lowly . With that, Konnikova hit the rail in 42nd place while Milyaev more than doubled.
