After 15 levels of 40-minutes each, Day 2 of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona Warm Up is a wrap. From the 242 players that started today, 20 of them are through to the final day. At the top of the chip counts is Francois Billard with 80,800,000 in chips who will be setting his sights on the first place prize of €385,000 and the partypoker trophy!
The Canadian earned most of those chips when he doubled up with seven-eight against the aces of Jost Beifuhs. Billard hit his straight draw on the river and left his opponent behind with only a few big blinds. Second in the counts is Evangelos Beichrakis with 74,700,000. Closing out the podium is another Canadian, Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault with 69,500,000. He eliminated Vojtech Ruzicka in one of the last levels of the day by hitting quads.
Two other players who are playing with a stack which is way above average are Bartlomiej Machon (68,900,000) and Christopher Andler (61,400,000). Frederic Delval, Martin Weiemann, Chris Moorman, Aleksandr Orlov, and Pavel Plesuv all have stacks which are hovering around average. Other players who will need to find some luck tomorrow include Richard Dromzee, Anders Bisgaard, Aylar Lie, and Morten Christensen.
Not everyone was fortunate enough to make it to the final day. After Kristen Bicknell finishes the day as the stone-cold bubble, the only partypoker representatives to finish in the money were Joni Jouhkimainen, Marcel Luske, and Padraig Parkinson. Other notable players that were allowed to pay the payout desk a visit include Ryan Riess, Leo Margets, Milad Oghabian, Gaelle Baumann, Aliaksei Boika, Anton Wigg, Michael Watson, Paul Berende, Jack Sinclair, Damian Salas, Yiannis Liperis, Vojtech Ruzicka, and Dominik Panka.
The 20 remaining players will return at noon local time and continue on Level 28 with a small blind of 500,000, big blind of 1,000,000 and a button ante of 1,000,000. Once there are 16 players left, a redraw for the final two tables will take place. When there are nine players left, the unofficial final table will have been reached. The levels will continue to last for 40 minutes until heads-up play has been reached, the level duration will then be reduced to 20 minutes.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be there from the start until the winner has been crowned so stick around!
