Frank Romanello was one of 11 players still in contention for the golden chip last longer competition, which will award an extra £100,000 to the last survivor. Unfortunately, the father of partypoker ambassador Roberto Romanello had to settle for a payday of £10,000, as he was just eliminated.
Blind on blind, Romanello raised to 400,000 and Jon Spinks moved in, Romanello called for around 8m and Spinks had double of that.
Frank Romanello:
Jon Spinks:
The board ran out and Romanello was sent to the rail with some 120 players still in contention. The table broke right after and everyone headed into different directions.

Andreas Hoivold made it 425,000 to go from under the gun, Katie Swift in the cutoff made it 1,300,000 total and the button and blinds got out of the way. Hoivold put Swift to the test for her 3,9 million total with . They were trailing the of Swift, who instantly made the call, and five community cards later - - the former chipleader dragged the pot.
With Swift still stacking chips, another player at the table, Marcello Miniuccchi, also got a double. Miniucchi shoved 1,890,000 over the top of a 450,000 raise from Grzegorz Grochulski, and the Pole made the call. Miniucchi's looked mighty fine after the flop was revealed, and Grochulski's didn't manage to catch up on the runout.

Ian Simpson was faced with a huge decision on the river when we joined his table, which also features Jake Cody, Jerry Odeen and Maria Lampropulos. Mark Kelsall had moved all-in over-the-top of Simpson's bet of 1.25million into a pot of 2.5 million. Kelsall's all-in stack wouldn;t knock Simpson out, but it was worth well over 3.5million and would decimate Simpson's stack if he was wrong.
"Queen-Ten?" asked Simpson to a stony face. "We could have the same hand."
Eventually, Simpson called and showed his hand of . He was right with his first thought, however, as Kelsall held and swept the pot of 10 million chips with a full house on the river.
