Three Streets of Value for Romanello

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Tamer Kamel raised to 4,000 and Roberto Romanello called from one seat over in the big blind. On a flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Kamel continued for 5,000 and Romanello called before doing so again for 10,000 on the {Q-Spades} turn.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the river and Kamel made it 22,500 to go into a pot of 39,000. Romanello gave it some thought and tossed in an orange T-25,000 chip for the call. Kamel rolled over {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for a full house and cut Romanello's stack into half.

Alexandru Papazian

With around 18,000 already in the middle in a three-bet pot between Alexandru Papazian in the cutoff and Adrian Mateos on the button, the former checked and the latter bet the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop for 6,200. Papazian called and checked again the {7-Diamonds} turn, Mateos checked behind.

After the {7-Hearts} river, the action went check, check, again and Papazian claimed the pot after turning over his {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Jonathan Concepcion Doubles Through Koray Aldemir

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Koray Aldemir has been very active these first few levels and managed to build up quite a nice stack early on. He just had to hand over almost half of his chips, however, after running into the flopped set of Jonathan Concepcion.

Preflop Jonathan Concepcion made it 2,300 to go from the cutoff and got a single caller, before Koray Aldemir squeezed it up to 12,200 out of the big blind. Concepcion committed the chips.

Concepcion called 16,200 on the {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, and both players checked through the {4-Diamonds} turn. The {A-Diamonds} on the river made Aldemir put Concepcion all-in for an effective 52,525, and the Spaniard quickly called and showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. The flopped set was enough for the double as Aldemir's {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} hit the muck.

Stephen Ayres was the main aggressor in a hand he has lost to Lander Lijo Bereciartua as an exciting pot went the way of the Spanish player here on Day 1 of the Two-Day £10,3000 partypoker High Roller.

Post-flop, Ayres made it 3,100 to go, and that bet was into a 7,000 pot on a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Bereciartua called and the turn of {9-Spades} prompted another bet from Ayres, this time to 5,500. Again, Bereciartua called and on the river of {10-Spades}, he bet 13,500. Suddenly it was Ayres with the decision and the British qualifier eventually elected to fold.

Players Still Joining the Action

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Three further players entered the competition within quick succession to bring the field up to 80 entries, and the tournament is on the best way to not only meet the guarantee of £1m, but create an even bigger prize pool.

Among those to jump in were Aymon Hata, Tobias Ziegler and Dzmitry Urbanovich. While the latter has more than $5m in cashes, Hata's biggest score is less than two weeks old. The Brit finished 5th in the PokerStars Championship Macau Main Event for HK$ 950,000 (approximately $122,236).

Vanrijsbergen and Sidhu Back Above Average

Bryan Vanrijsbergen
Bryan Vanrijsbergen

Bryan Vanrijsbergen opened pre-flop from first position to 3,500 and was called in three spots, by Tom Hall in middle position, Stephen Ayres in the next seat and WSOP Main Event finalist Kenny Hallaert in the small blind.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} saw Vanrijsbergen c-bet to 3,500 and take the pot down, bumping him up to 119,500.

Elsewhere, Kuljinder Sidhu and Alex Goulder clashed in a big hand.

Pre-flop, Goulderopened to 2,500 from the hijack position but was raised to 7,200 by Sidhu in the cut-off. Goulder alone called, and they saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Both players checked to the turn of {Q-Diamonds} whereupon Goulder made it 7,000 and Sidhu called. The river of {9-Clubs} saw both check and Goulder's {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} was no good against the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} of Sidhu.

The Action is Heating Up at Table #36

Nível 4 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The action is really heating up at the Dusk Till Dawn Nottingham, and at the table of Niall Farrell, Kitty Kuo and Fraser MacIntyre chips are quickly changing hands at the moment.

First off MacIntryre fourbet preflop to 17,000 from the button, and Stevan Chew who already had already committed 7,500 put in the additional chips.

The flop came down {6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Chew check-folded to the bet of 13,000 from MacIntyre.

The very next hand it was Farrel and Kuo at it. Farrel opened up the betting from early position, and Kuo threebet out of the small blind. Farrell called.

Kuo lead out for 6,500 on the {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, and Farrell fairly quickly made the call. The action on the {A-Clubs} turn was similar, this time with a bet of 14,000 from Kuo.

She did slow down on the {9-Diamonds} river, and opted to release her hand when Farrell put in a single orange chip worth 25,000 on the river.
