We're back! The $5million guaranteed 2017 Caribbean Poker Party Main Event continues! The first flight of the $5,300 buy-in MILLIONS Event saw Ronan Sweeney take through the chip lead with 5,856,000, just in front of partypoker sponsored pro Johnny Lodden (pictured) with 5,625,000.
Day 1B starts at midday local time, and is to be played out over eight 60-minute levels at The Level at Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Day 1C is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm local time, with all of today's survivors collaborating with the 232 runners that made it through yesterday for Day 2, which starts tomorrow. The eventual winner will lift the trophy on Saturday 25th, having made their way through five days of poker.
Late registration and re-entry for this event will be available until the end of level 12, four hours into Day 2. We'll be with you the whole way to bring you updates throughout.

163 players have descended upon the cardroom at The Level at Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana, with plenty more queueing at the registration desk.
Facing an under the gun open to 15,000, Jasper van Haperen made the call in early position, with Justin Sevilla calling on the button and the big blind making up the difference. They took a flop four ways, with the big blind and original raiser checking over to Van Haperen, who put out a bet of 55,000.
Sevilla thought for a second before folding his hand, with the other two players following suit, and Van Haperen picked up the pot.

Action folded around to Benjamin Lamprecht in the cutoff who raised it up to 15,000, partypoker sponsored pro Roberto Romanello three-bet the button to 50,000 and Lamprecht made the call.
Lamprecht checked the flop over to Romanello, who continued for 40,000. After a little thought, Lamprecht made the call, before the came down on the turn. Both players checked and checked the on the river as well.
"Ace high?" queried Lamprecht, tabling . Romanello re-peeked at his hole cards and pushed them into the muck.

Colin Quarry and online high roller specialist Nick Todd were involved on an board with around 80,000 in the middle. Both players checked the turn, with the landing on the river. Quarry considered betting but checked it over to Todd who quickly checked back. Quarry tabled , which was good for the modest pot.
Meanwhile Alberto Hernandez, also at the table, was brought red grapes on a silver platter. That's poker paradise for you.

On a board, there was around 210,000 in the middle with three-way action. Action was checked around to the player on the button, who put out a bet of 70,000, and both opponents called.
The board paired on the turn and all players checked. The hit the river and the first player checked. Mitch Johnson bet of 285,000 and the player on the button seemed less than pleased by the situation but, after some thought, made the call. The other player quickly folded, and Johnson tabled for turned trips.
