Courage Pays to See Eidukas' Boat

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/100, 0 ante

The action was picked up with the board reading 77910. James Ringland bet 700 from the hijack with Romas Eidukas calling from the hijack, and Stephen Courage making the call from middle position.

The 3 fell on the river and the action was checked to Eidukas, who put out a bet of 2,600. Courage called, but Ringland folded.

Eidukas flipped over a full house with 99, which won him the pot as Courage showed Q8 for a flush.

On one of the first hands of the day, Mary Seery raised to 300 from the cutoff only to be immediately three-bet to 900 by the founder of the International Poker Open, Stephen Mclean. After it folded back to Seery, she called.

Seery checked the 866 flop and Mclean continued with a bet of 1,500. Seery took no time at all fold and Mclean dragged in the pot.

After an impressive turnout of 80 entries for Day 1a, the International Poker Open Main Event continues today with Day 1b. Yesterday's opening flight saw Moldovian player Veaceslav Jumir storm through the field to finish on top of the pack and was one of only two players to break the 300,000 chip barrier.

The €350 buy-in Main Event that is being held at the luxurious Bonnington Dublin Hotel boasts a €250,000 guaranteed prize pool. Today's flight is expected to have a larger field than yesterday, all in the hopes of finding a bag and tag at the end of the night and bringing a healthy stack through to Day 2 which plays out on Sunday, October 27.
