Sleeping Beauty

Nível 5

Andew Chen's been falling asleep at the table and that is another indication that this competition is absolutely draining the players. This is the last heat of the night, but also the most important as it will decide the seeding for tomorrow's heads-up matches, but we'll also know who will be knocked out of the first ever Global Poker Masters World Cup.

USA Favorites for a Late Start Now

Nível 5

What's happening to Team Germany? George Danzer has just been eliminated, their third (out of five) player to leave with no points scored in the last heat of the night.

He doubled up Erwann Pecheux - {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} lost to {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} - and it left him all in in the big blind the very next hand.

Oliver Price completed from the small blind and the cards were flipped up.

Price: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Danzer: {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

"All In and Call Situation!"

Nível 5
Oleksandr Gnatenko still enjoying himself
Oleksandr Gnatenko still enjoying himself

Oleksandr Gnatenko has been commentating loudly on the game all day and is especially fond of the classic "All in and call situation!" shout out. He started doing it only when he was all in himself, but after the first couple of heats he did it for everyone at his table. Just now he even did it for someone on table 4, while he's still seated at table 5.

"All in and call situation table 5!"
Bilokur doubled with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} against Ami Barer's {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The flop helped Barer in front, but the turn and river helped give Bilokur a straight: {10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. "Oh my God!" Gnatenko screamed, and everyone laughed.

"All in and call situation table 4!"
Oliver Price doubled up his neighbor Erwann Pecheux with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} all in against {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Price handed over 13,800 to Team France.

Team United Kingdom Almost a Dead Man

Nível 5
Simon Deadman
Simon Deadman

While we are still awaiting the final confirmation it's safe to say right now that Team United Kingdom's drawing to a victory and a second place from both Salter brothers to keep their chances alive to advance in the Global Poker Masters World Cup.

Igor Soshnikov just raised under the gun plus one to 2,000 and the action folded to Simon Deadman who moved all in for 13,725 from the small blind. Soshnikov called right away and the showdown went as following.

Soshnikov: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Deadman: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Soshnikov hit his flush to knock Deadman, and most of Team UK's hopes, out from this event.

Team United Kingdom Eliminated

Nível 5
Louis Salter
Louis Salter

With just Louis and Jack salter remaining, they technically could still advance. Technically, but unlikely.

Just now Louis Salter got eliminated, eliminating all possibilities of team United Kingdom advancing to the next round. And it was in fashion with how Team United Kingdom was running today.

Marc-Andre Ladouceur opened under the gun, and called Louis Salters' eleven big blind shove.

Ladouceur had pocket fours while Salter had pocket aces.

A four on the flop ended it all. The United Kingdom will have tomorrows day off.

The USA a Happy Camp

Nível 5

There's a lot of conversations going on between the members on Team USA. They're very confident in their position but wary on to fronts:

Firstly, Ole Schemion and Philipp Gruissem both have good stacks at their tables and two wins could seal the victory they crave. Secondly, Italy - even adrift in third - have all five players remaining and could score big points.

Isaac Haxton, a star of the team with two wins and a second, is the player going around the tables, checking on his four team mates still in. One of them, Bryn Kenney, is having a jolly old time cracking aces.

He raised to 2,000 and called after Ami Barer three-bet all in for 8,825.

Barer: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Kenney: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The board ran {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} to make Kenney two pair.
