Oleksandr Gnatenko was heard using hid third one time chip after getting his stack in versus Rocco Palumbo. The first two (in previous heats) must've been duds but the latest one worked.
Palumbo opened from the button and called when Gnatenko three-bet all in from the small blind for 7,675.
Gnatenko:
Palumbo:
The board ran to make the Ukrainian a better two pair.
Ami Barer opened for 1,200 from early position and got a call from the button. Vanessa Selbst in the big blind squeezed all in and Barer instantly called. The button folded and the cards went on their backs.
Ami Barer:
Vanessa Selbst:
The board ran out and Selbst hit the rail. Time for some dinner for the Team PokerStars Pro, as there wont be a scheduled dinner break. Something at least Patrick Bruel isn't too happy with.
Marc-Andre Ladouceur first knocked out Bryn Kenney over on Table 1. The two got their chips in with ace king (Ladouceur) against queens (Kenney. The board ran out and Ladouceur busted the Team America player.
"I'll miss the stories" Ladouceur said with a smile. The table agreed.
Not much later Ladouceur eliminated Igor Yaroshevsky. Ladouceur again had and was up against before the flop. The board ran out .
Can anyone save Team America in the other tables? Of course!
Rocco Palumbo has been eliminated from Heat 3. He got it in with queen ten against the eight nine of Alex Bilokur. We're unsure when the chips went in, but Bilokur supposedly hit a gutshot to eliminate Palumbo, if we understood the Italian telling his country mate good enough.
George Danzer was hinting he wasn't pulling his weight towards Team Germany's total so far, but he's in with a good chance of going deep in Heat 3 after he coolered Ivan Soshnikov.
Danzer was in the cutoff with and Soshnikov was in the blinds with . It doesn't take Sherlock to figure out what happened.
Marvin Rettenmaier flew in direct from San Francisco for the GPM and is facing a long day battling jet-lag. He was contemplating a nap just now after he busted to Andrew Chen.
He was on the button with 8,200 chips and they went in the middle versus Andrew Chen who was at in the small blind.
Mustapha Kanit was down to hist last 6,200 and he moved all in from the button on the featured table. Dan Smith called from he big blind and the showdown went as following.
Smith:
Kanit:
The board ran out and Kanit hit the rail in sixth place at the featured table.
Ole Schemion first doubled up Isaac Haxton when he called Haxton's shove on with . Haxton had and Schemion was left with about 4,500 after a blank on the river.
Schemion shoved not much later and Sorel Mizzi right next to him shoved as well.
"It's amazing, three way all in!" yelled Oleksandr Gnatenko before he over shoved.
Mizzi:
Schemion:
Gnatenko:
The board ran out and Gnatenko eliminated two players in one hand.
Just Ukraine (Gnatenko), France (Grospellier), USA (Haxton) and Russia (Bilokur) remain at table 2. The bubble has burst.
