Day 1c of the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event Begins at 11 AM
The PokerStars North American Poker Tour Las Vegas Main Event continues today from Resorts World Las Vegas. The $1,650 buy-in event offers a $1,500,000 guarantee and Day 1c will get underway at 11:00 a.m. PST.
Players will begin with a stack of 30,000 in chips and blinds will start at 100/100/100. Levels will be 40 minutes in duration and there will be a 60-minute dinner break after Level 8. Registration will remain open until the end of Level 10, and Day 1 will conclude after 14 levels are played.
This tournament features unlimited reentries, and approximately the top 15% of the field will be paid. There are four starting flights left with two starting flights today and tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8. Players who bag will return for Day 2 on November 9. Day 3 will commence on November 10 and the tournament is scheduled to conclude with Day 4 on November 11, with the final two days slated to have live-streamed cards-up coverage.
Through the first two starting flights, the NAPT Main Event has seen a total of 213 entries and 46 players have bagged for Day 2 thus far. That number will surely increase as players flock to the felt to take part in this premier event.
All players should be aware that a Genting Rewards card is needed before registering for any NAPT tournaments. Genting Rewards cards are free and can be picked up from the Resorts World Rewards Desk.

Dube Takes Four-Bet Pot

Lori Persinger raised to 300 in the cutoff and Deborah Espe three-bet to 800 on the button. Mark Dube four-bet to 2,800 from the small blind and action folded back to Espe who called.
The dealer spread the K♠6♥5♠ flop and Dube continued for 3,200, causing Espe to muck.

Cervantes First to Bust Today

Rudy Cervantes was all-in and at risk from the small blind for a pot of 2,100 while Mike Liang in the big blind, David Dethomasis from under the gun, and Joshua Thatcher were playing for a side pot of 3,600.
The flop came 7♣Q♦9♥, Liang checked. Dethomasis opted to bet 2,400 which only Thatcher called.
The turn was the 2♠ and Dethomasis fired a bet of 4,000 out which was called again.
The river completed the board with the J♠ and Cervantes got up from his chair while the other two were still active in the hand. They looked up but he didn't even turn around and quickly made his way out of the tournament area.
Dethomasis fired a bet of 7,000. Thatcher considered it for a while before opting to fold.
Dethomasis tabled the 6♥6♦ for the pair of sixes for the dealer to reveal Cervantes held K♥2♣ for a pair of deuces.
