Gu Blasts Lian Off the Best Hand

The flop came 5♥Q♦9♠ and Lian continued for 85,000. Gu raised to 240,000 and Lian tossed in all his time banks as he tanked for a minute before calling.

Both players checked the K♦ turn. The river was the K♣ and Gu moved all in. Lian had 750,000 remaining and again burned through his time banks before giving up Q♥2♣. Gu took the pot with 10♣8♠ for just ten-high.

Both players checked the 6♥ turn and the 3♠ fell on the river. Andrian then moved all in and Haddad lowered his head on to the rail of the table before calling for his last 900,000.

He showed 10♦10♠, but Andrian had K♠J♣ for two pair to send Haddad to the rail in 23rd place.

Mustafov Five-Bets, State Shoves on Tashliyev

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 100,000 in the hijack before Ildar Tashliyev three-bet to 275,000 on the button. Adrian State then four-bet to 400,000 in the small blind.

Mustafov moved all in for around 1,400,000 and Tashliyev shot back in his seat and burned through several time banks before mucking.

"We might have the same hand," State said as he also tanked for a moment before folding.

A few hands later, State and Tashliyev went to the turn on a board of Q♠Q♦4♦10♦ when State bet enough to put Tashliyev all in for his last 200,000.

Mustafov ended up calling the clock and State went to muck his cards after the 30 seconds had elapsed, believing he had won the hand. Tashliyev then protested that he had one time bank remaining and he was allowed 30 more seconds.

Tashliyev ended up folding and State took the pot.

"Straight," tablemate Abdullah Alajmi said.

"Super straight," Dato replied. "Maybe."
