Action for Day 1a of GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H: $10,300, $10M GTD got going at 2:05 p.m. eastern time as the first of five starting flights.
There was a full 17 levels of registration, and when they finished registering, 329 entries were on the board, with just over 100 players still in the game. End of day leader Watson was already showing strength with a fifth place stack.
Over the course of the next two hours, they played down to 41 players left in the game. Watson was chip leader going into the final level, but Malinov might not even have made the final day if not for his fours holding in a huge race for his life against ace-queen early in the 2nd last level.
There are four more chances for players to bag a stack for Day 2, which runs on April 18th. Day 1b goes ahead on the 13th, with 1c on the 15th, 1d on the 17th, and 1e early on the 18th. Stay tuned here at PokerNews for all action from 2021 GG Spring Festival.
