Watson Shows No Fear

Nível 9 : 1,250/2,500, 300 ante

Action folded around to Michael Watson who raised to 5,000 from the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski called from the big blind.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Badziakouski check-called Watson's 7,925 continuation bet bringing the {2-Clubs} turn. Badziakouski changed the aggressor and led out for 7,500. Watson called and the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Badziakouski slowed down and checked to Watson who moved all in for 25,063. Badziakouski took his whole time bank and then called at the last second.

Badziakouski rolled over {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for two-pair but it was inferior to Watson's two-pair {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Watson collected the pot.

Mateos Loses Race to Yan

Nível 7 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A series of preflop raises saw David Yan move his 177,168 stack in the middle from late position and Adrian Mateos called off his 119,858 stack from the hijack.

David Yan: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Mateos was ahead with his made hand and nothing changed after the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. The {q-Hearts} turn was safe for Mateos, who was looking good until the {k-Hearts} fell on the river and secured Yan the pot.

Watson Takes a Chance

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

"judd trump" open-jammed for 10,778 from under the gun and Michael Watson looked them up from the small blind.

"judd trump": {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Michael Watson: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}

"judd trump" was ahead with their made hand and improved after the {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop gave them top-set.

The {4-Clubs} turn gave "judd trump" a sweat as Watson picked-up a gutshot straight draw but the {3-Clubs} appeared on the river and secured their double-up.

The closing week of the inaugural GG Spring Festival is upon us and the final high-stakes event is on schedule today with PokerNew's live coverage of H-109: $25,500 Sunday Millions beginning just after 3 p.m. EDT.

Over tens of millions of dollars have already been awarded in the festival, and this event will see at least another $3 million added to that tally thanks to the guarantee posted.

The structure for the tournament equals the previous Sunday Million editions. All players receive 100,000 in chips, which are worth 200 big blinds in the first level at 250/500/60.

Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the registration period, which lasts six full hours until 9:05 p.m. EDT. By then, action will have reached Level 22 where blinds are 5,000/10,000/1,250.

About two hours before play and there is already a list of familiar faces registered. Some early registrants include GGPoker's own Fedor Holz and Anatoly Filatov, two-time GG Spring Festival Champ Sami Kelopuro, along with Sunday 5 Million Champion's Niklas Astedt, and Guillaume Nolet.

Day 1 is scheduled to conclude once the nine-handed final table has been reached and all finalists will then return the following day at the same start time to determine a champion.
