Gnatenko Questions Kamutzki's Track Record

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Heinz Kamutzki - Oleksandr Gnatenko
Heinz Kamutzki - Oleksandr Gnatenko

"Look," Oleksandr Gnatenko just said as he called your reporter on the scene over, "This guy shows me his HendonMob and says he has good results."

Gnatenko, who was part of Team Ukraine during the Global Poker Masters, is known for his fun antics and he gave Heinz Kamutzki a fun rubdown about his live tournament results while scrolling the page on his iPad.

"That was your best result?" Gnatenko asked Kamutzki when pointing at his 23rd place finish in the EPT 10 Monte Carlo Main Event for €42,850.

Kamutzki laughed and showed that his 2014 was actually his best year on the international poker scene.

For now Gnatenko however has some work to do, as Kamutzki has more than $1,000,000 in live tournament results versus the Ukrainian's $530,000. Interestingly enough however, Gnatenko has the biggest result of the two, a victory in a Deep Stack Extravaganza tournament in Las Vegas for $95,879 back in 2011.

As this tournament goes on we will keep an eye on the German and the Ukrainian to see who will get the best of the other.

Nut Flush No Good for Wetemans

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Jasper Wetemans has dropped down to 10,650 after he ran the nut flush into the straight flush of Jan Ramik, and it cost him more than he would've liked.

The two players had reached the river of a {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} board and the Dutchman bet 5,600 and then opened his hand when he thought Ramik had called. He's actually put out 8,500 which was more than 50% of Wetemans' bet so was forced to raise to 11,200. Wetemans had already committed to a call so had to pay the extra.

"You have a straight flush?" asked Wetemans. Ramik opened {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for that very hand.

Gieles Misses His Flush Draw, Hits His Straight

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Dutch regular Luuk Gieles was seen tanking in position for a bit on a board of {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. His opponent in the big blind had already checked, and Gieles had the option to check behind or bet. There was already quite some chips in the pot and Gieles contemplated what to do.

He eventually decided on betting 1,750. His opponent didn't need any time to think it seemed, he might have just done that when Gieles was to act. The big blind called almost immediately, but mucked with hanging shoulders after Gieles tabled {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the wheel.

No Showdown Joep

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Dutchman Pieter van Gils opened from early position for 350 and his neighbor Joep van den Bijgaart made the call. The hijack and Ariel Celestino in the big blind came along for the ride.

{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} on the flop and everyone checked. Not so much on the {5-Hearts} turn; Celestino bet 675 and Van Gils folded, Van den Bijgaart and the hijack both called.

The river came the {6-Diamonds} and Celestino checked. Van den Bijgaart bet 2,400 and both his opponents folded.

Duval's in Shock

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

We heard loud laughter from a table on the far side of the room and we hurried over there to see {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} on the table.

Canada's Jason Duval faced a shove for 15,000 chips into a pot worth quite a bit less from Bartolomeo-Fulvio Tato, who stood next to the table as if he was ready to leave.

"I want to go outside," Taot said with a smile.

Duval tanked for a long time and ultimately he decided to fold his hand.

Tato showed {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a set, and Duval admitted to folding {A-}{J-Diamonds}.

"I mean, what am I supposed to do?" Duval asked himself out loud.

"He check-min raises the turn and then he just goes all in," Duval said with a wry smile.

"If I had the {Q-Diamonds} I would've called," he finally added before shaking his head and moving on to the next hand.

MacIntyre Left very Short

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Arriving at the {K-Spades} {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} turn, the action was checked to Sergio Aido and he bet 1,000. Nikolay Tsanev called and then Fraser MacIntyre raised to 5,000. The Spaniard got out of the way but Tsanev called to see the {J-Diamonds} on the river.

Tsanev moved all in for 11,225 and was eventually called after a of consideration by the Scotsman to reveal {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for a full house. MacIntyre also had a seven but his kicker didn't connect with the board.

Dato Bets into Aces

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

The board showed {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} when Global Poker Masters winner Andrea Dato bet 2,500 on the river. The player on his left made the call and Angel Guillen made the call from the button after quite some time as well.

Dato tabled {2-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and that was no good against the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} from the player on his left. Guillen mucked as well and the third player took down the pot.

Wigg Takes it Down

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Anton Wigg raised to 400 and received two callers to see a flop of {4-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. The Swede made a continuation bet of 750 and received a call from the player in the hijack before the opponent in one seat over raised to 2,100. Both Wigg and the third player in the hand called and they saw the {2-Hearts} turn without any betting action.

After the {5-Hearts} river, Wigg bet 3,600 and took down the pot uncontested.
