As we arrived, Dario Sammartino had all of his chips in the middle already and the black and red all in triangle was present as well. Sammartino, seated in the big blind, had fired his chips in the pot with the board reading . His opponent was Israeli Ori Miller on the button.
Steven van Zadelhoff told us that Sammartino had three bet before the flop and Miller had called. Sammartino then fired on the flop and turn, and shoved all in on the river.
Miller thought long and hard and still had 13,375 behind. He eventually did call.
Sammartino frowned, kind of wanted to muck, but was forced to show his . Miller tabled and took it down. The 'ooohs' and 'aaahs' after the call from the table could be heard in the entire room.
Sammartino was left with just ten big blinds, and lost those not much later. Sammartino won the Global Poker Masters World Cup with his team last night, but came up empty handed here in the Main Event.

Issac Haxton took on five opponents on the flop and managed to reduce that number to one, who was flushed away on the river.
A player raised to 600 and was called in five spots including Haxton and Darren Pearce. The flop fanned and Haxton had a stab at the pot with a 2,500 bet. Pearce called quickly and all other players moved out of the way.
Haxton fired another 6,200 on the turn after a long tank and was snap called by Pearce. The board completed with the and Haxton bet 7,000. Pearce took his time before flicking in the call. Haxton opened for a flush and Pearce mucked.

One hand later, Tamer Kamel opened to 500 and got called by Lee Taylor and Ami Barer before Luft three-bet to 1,800. Kamel and Barer called to see a flop. All three players checked and Luft then bet the turn for 4,000 to scare off both opponents.
Two tables over, Jonathan Duhamel has taken a seat and is one of the familiar faces that jumped in late.

On a board of it was Ludovic Geilich who had checked Heinz Kamutzki. Kamutzki bet out 3,200 and Geilich thought about it for a bit.
Oleksandr Gnatenko was standing a few feet away from the table and whispered 'I had nine' to us. So now we knew for sure there was no quads to be displayed, but we were still waiting what these two fellows had.
Geilich made the call eventually, but mucked as Kamutzki showed . Geilich is still up from the last time we checked on him.

The board read out it was Mulsow who had 13,500 out in front of him while Mascolo was in the tank with 5,000 out in front.
A solid three minutes after we arrived the clock was called on Mascolo who ended up making the call with three seconds left on his final minute.
The river brought the and Muslow checked to his opponent. Mascolo pondered for a bit but eventually he pushed his stack across the line for a total of 28,000. Mulsow was covered by his opponent and he smiled, sighed and shook his head as he folded his cards.
