The action folded to Jean-Noel Thorel in the small blind, who limped in. Sergi Reixach then went all in from the big blind for 35,000 chips and Thorel immediately called.

It was looking like the end for Reixach, but the 7♠9♦2♥ flop saw him take the lead. His pair of sevens held on the 4♠5♥ runout and he doubled up.

"We're not even yet!" Reixach joked, leading to laughter across the table.

Boivin's Check-Raise Gets Reixach Above Starting

Sergi Reixach limped in from the button and Thomas Boivin checked his option in the big blind.

The J♠2♦10♥ flop was then dealt and Boivin checked to Reixach, who put in the minimum bet of 5,000. Boivin responded with a raise to 14,000, which Reixach called.

Boivin reverted to checking on the 6♦ turn, and Reixach followed up with a bet of 18,000. Boivin quickly folded as the pot was shipped Reixach's way.

Mateos Waits For the River to Bring Out a Big Raise

Prior to the hand, a dispute arose at the table as the players argued with the floor that play should not begin until all late entries had been seated. They held onto their cards and didn't play a hand for the first several minutes of the level while the situation was resolved. A tournament official assured them that they weren't going to wait, and that play should begin right away.

Joakim Andersson then raised to 10,000 in the cutoff and Adrian Mateos called on the button. Both players checked to the river on a board of 5♥J♦5♣A♦10♥ when Andersson bet 25,000.

Mateos then raised to 95,000 and Andersson tanked for a minute before folding.

Lonis Flops Quads, Kuznetsov Still Not Drawing Dead

Nikita Kuznetsov raised to 11,000 in middle position before Jesse Lonis moved all in for 78,000 on the button. Kuznetsov used up nearly his entire time clock before calling.

The two players were racing, but it didn't stay a coin flip for long as the flop brought J♣8♣8♥, giving Lonis quads. The turn was the 9♣ and Kuznetsov picked up a straight flush draw, but he missed the 3♠ river and Lonis doubled up.

Several players are still voicing their disapproval of the late registration ruling and continue to have discussions with tournament officials. "The people aren't happy. They're getting pitchforks," Sam Grafton said.
