Vladyslav Martynenko had a raise of around 55,000 in front of him from the cutoff before Gerard Carbo moved all in from middle position. Martynenko called for his last 200,000.
Vladyslav Martynenko: A♠J♥
Gerard Carbo: Q♣Q♠
Martynenko caught his ace on the A♦2♥Q♥ flop, but it also gave Carbo a set. Martynenko was already drawing dead by the 9♣ turn, while the 3♠ river sealed his elimination.
Heads-up on a flop of 5♠7♠2♥, Vladyslav Martynenko bet 35,000 from the button. Pieter De Necker raised to 150,000 in the cutoff, Martynenko moved all in, and De Necker called for 560,000.
Pieter De Necker: 9♥9♣
Vladyslav Martynenko: Q♠8♠
"Come on, hold one time," De Necker said as he stood up from his seat and started pacing around. He needed to dodge Martynenko's flush draw, and the J♦ turn and A♣ river were safe as De Necker doubled up in a 1,200,000 chip pot.
The next hand, Pascal Pflock raised to 16,000 in middle position and De Necker, still stacking up the massive pot, folded. "Did you even look at your cards?" Pflock joked.
Martynenko was left with 104,000 and moved all in from the cutoff. Birger Ohl reshoved for 281,000 in the big blind and Pflock folded.
Vladyslav Martynenko: 6♥6♣
Birger Ohl: A♣Q♥
"Same hand," Pflock told Ohl as the flop came 7♦6♠8♣ to give Martynenko a set. The rest of the board came Q♦5♥ and Martynenko stayed alive.
Viliyan Petleshkov opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was met with a three-bet to 48,000 by Jonathan Guedes on the button. Petleshkov called.
On the 7♠10♠5♣ flop, Petleshkov check-jammed for 225,000 versus Guedes bet of 35,000, and Guedes made the quick call, with Petleshkov having slightly more.
Jonathan Guedes: K♥K♦
Viliyan Petleshkov: K♣10♣
Petleshkov had top pair but had run into the overpair kings of Guedes, and his double-up was confirmed by the 2♥ turn and 5♥ river.
Petleshkov, who was left with 5,000, was seen departing the table shortly after.
Enrico Camosci limped in from the small blind and Guillermo Gordo bet 32,000 from the big blind. Camosci made the call.
Both players checked the Q♠8♣6♠ flop leading to the A♣ turn. Camosci checked, Gordo bet 45,000 and Camosci moved all in, covering Gordo who had a bit over 300,000 behind. Gordo opted to fold and Camosci took the pot without showdown.
