Each player will receive a starting stack of 30,000 with the blinds commencing at 100/100 with a 100 big-blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes long with players allowed one reentry per flight. A break of 20 minutes will be held every four levels. Late registration will close at the end of Level 10 and play will end for the day once the field is reduced to 15% of the total entries. All players who survive into Day 2 are guaranteed to make the money, with the prize pool being announced at the start of Day 2.

Around 1,000 was in the middle on a board of 2♣10♥7♦6♦ when Yves Piacentino put out a bet of 500, only to be faced with a raise to 2,100 by Jean Marc Cristiani.
Stephane Trela cold-called in the big blind and Piacentino quickly folded.
The A♣ river slowed matters down as both players checked. Trela showed 10♣9♥ for a pair of tens and that was good enough to cause Cristiani to muck his hand.
