Shahar Makes the First Elimination

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Ran Shahar
Ran Shahar

Omer Segal raised to 400 from the cutoff, but Ran Shahar three-bet to 1,500 from the button. The blinds folded, and Segal decided to quickly four-bet to 4,200. Shahar eventually called.

Segal continued with a bet of 5,500 on the 339 flop, and Shahar called. Then on the turn 2, Segal moved all in for a little bit less than 20,000. Shahar snap-called.

Omer Segal: AQ
Ran Shahar: 83

Shahar had an unorthodox hand, but he managed to hit trips on the flop. As Segal had a slightly smaller stack than Shahar, he was the first player of the day eliminated after the river Q.

Day 1b of the €2,200 Eureka High Roller Kicks Off at 7 PM

EPT Trophy
EPT Trophy

It’s day five of the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague, and Day 1b of the €2,200 Eureka High Roller is set to begin at 7 p.m. local time in the stunning Hilton Prague.

Day 1a is already in full swing, with registration open until 8:55 p.m, but Day 1b gives players a final opportunity to bag and continue to Day 2. A total of 1,534 entries were made in this event last year, a record at the time, and another large field is already building this time around.

Norway’s Sander Ostlyngen came out on top in 2022, beating Slovakia's Stanislav Koleno heads up at the final table to take home a cool €463,850. With less than $30,000 in cashes prior to his win, Ostlyngen came from fourth in chips as the final table began to defeat the likes of Andrew Hulme and David Hu to take home the trophy.

In contrast to Day 1a, the 1b flight is just 20 minute blind levels, so expect much faster-paced action. There are unlimited reentries up until registration closes at approximately 11 p.m. local time. The €2,200 buy-in will give players a starting stack of 30,000 chips.

The flight ends when just 15% of the field is left, at which point all remaining players make the money to bag and tag. They, along with 15% of players who made it from Day 1a, will then come back for Day 2 to compete for the trophy and, of course, a large chunk of the prize pool.

Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews, as we provide live updates of all the action across EPT Prague.
