Cohen Catches Miracle Turn to Bust Bonnant and Double

Nível 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Clement Bonnant was all in for 2,200 from under the gun before Sacha Cohen jammed in his stack of 6,300 from middle position. Yury Masliankou called from the cutoff as the bigger stack to put both players at risk of elimination.

Clement Bonnant: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Sacha Cohen: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Yury Masliankou: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Bonnant had the best of it and it remained that way following the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. However, the {2-Clubs} turn improved Cohen to a full house. The {q-Diamonds} river completed the board for Cohen to have the best hand. He doubled up through Masliankou while sending Bonnant to the rail.

The {3-Clubs} river checked through to showdown. Corrigan won the pot with his {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} as Parpillon mucked.

Also at the table is PokerStars ambassador Ramon Collilas, who has had a solid start for the day and has a stack over 50,000.

Rantala Pips Hasson to Double

Nível 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Sidi Tourad opened to 1,200 in middle position and Eero Rantala flat-called in the next seat before Ori Hasson three-bet to 5,500 from the hijack. Tourad called and Rantala then back-jammed a stack of 43,200. Hasson called and Tourad got out of the way.

Eero Rantala: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Ori Hasson: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

"Wow," someone at the table gasped as Hasson winced when he saw he was pipped and had his suits covered.

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} gave Hasson some more outs with a gutshot, but the board bricked out {9-Clubs}{7-Spades} for Rantala to stay ahead for the double.

Stand Up Trick Pays Off for Roussey at Wheeler's Expense

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Quentin Roussey
Quentin Roussey

The short-stacked Quentin Roussey opened to 900 from the button before Jason Wheeler three-bet to 2,400 from the small blind. Roussey called.

On the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Wheeler continued for 1,600 and called after Roussey moved all in for 9,100.

Quentin Roussey: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Jason Wheeler: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Roussey had flopped top pair but was behind Wheeler's pocket aces. The Frenchman immediately stood out of his seat and started putting on his coat while collecting his belongings.

The {k-Spades} turn kept Wheeler ahead but Roussey rivered two pair after the {9-Hearts} completed the board. He was unaware that he had the best hand until his tablemates pointed out that he had the winner.

David Kaye
David Kaye

American David Kaye spoke with PokerNews about his journey from a small-town Michigan poker player to becoming a poker player and PokerStars ambassador.

He also gave insight into the current poker scene in Michigan, and the potential of online poker in the state.
“We know the end goal isn't just two states,” he said. “Two states is great, but this is just the groundwork to get where we really want to be when we have all the states under one umbrella — or as many states as possible.”

Find out what Kaye had to say about the bright future of PokerStars US here!

Droz and Pirmamod Narrowly Stay Alive Before Busting Next Hand

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Giedrius Breive
Giedrius Breive

Nasrodin Pirmamod was all in with crumbs from under the gun and Kevin Droz moved in behind him in middle position with a slightly smaller stack. Giedrius Breive three-bet from the next seat with both players covered and the cards were flipped.

Kevin Droz: {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Nasrodin Pirmamod: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Giedrius Breive: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Droz made two pair to triple up as Pirmamod received a small side pot after spiking an ace on the river. Still, he was forced all-in from the big blind the very next hand.

Hoping to continue the spin-up, Droz moved all in and Breive called for the three to tangle once again.

Nasrodin Pirmamod: {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Kevin Droz: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Giedrius Breive: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Droz and Pirmamod couldn't pull ahead this time as the board ran out {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Spades} to give Breive two pair to eliminate both opponents.
