After a very successful return to The Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and second edition of the PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship (PSPC), the operator returns to Europe. While the European Poker Tour has already been taking place on French soil in previous years, the location was switched from Deauville to the capital of the country.
The 2023 PokerStars EPT Paris festival takes place from February 15 to 26, 2023 is situated right in the centre of the metropole. Operated by the nearby Club Barriere Paris, the venue of the poker festivities is the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, which can be found only a short walk from the iconic Arc de Triomphe. On the opening day of the series, the first High Roller contest in the French capital is slated to kick off at approximately 7pm local time.
Event #3 Mystery Bounty €10,200 High Roller features one of the most popular formats on the live and online poker circuit, which has taken the industry by storm throughout the last few years. The single re-entry tournament allocates €5,000 of the buy-in to the bounty prize pool while €4,600 of each entry are distributed via cash prizes with approximately 15% of the field ending up in the money.
Throughout the entire tournament, a level duration of 30 minutes is scheduled and that will only be halved once a deal has been made or the final three players have been reached. Day 1 will feature eight levels with four sets of duplicate blind levels. However, the late registration and re-entry period remains open for another two levels and following break at the start of Day 2.
All players start with 100,000 in chips, which is good enough for 100 big blinds in the first two levels of the tournament. A shot clock is implemented from the start of play and each participant receives four time bank extensions regardless of when they enter. At the start of each even numbered level, each seated player will receive one additional time bank card.
Throughout the entire stop in Paris, the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide exclusive updates from several marquee events including the Mystery Bounty €10,200 High Roller.
So far, there are four players registered but tournament staff already told them that the action will not get underway short-handed. For the time being, the delay for the start is not known yet but all the info can be found right here on PokerNews when that is the case.
Update: The tournament staff has confirmed that the start has been pushed back to 7.30 pm local time.

In duel button versus small blind, the flop showed and Alex Kulev made it 6,500 to go. Tom Orpaz was his sole remaining opponent by then and verified the bet size from the other side of the table. He then raised to 20,000 and Kulev instantly folded before moving the button right away one spot over.
Orpaz raised the next hand, too, and collected the blinds and big blind ante.

With 9,500 in the middle to the turn, Kayhan Mokri bet 2,500 out of the big blind on a short-handed table of four. Alexandros Theologis raised to 12,500 from under the gun and Mokri called. The river was checked and Mokri's for a pair of fives won the pot.
One table over, Alev Kulev was spotted with a check-raise from 5,000 to 18,000 on the turn and Adam Miller let go.
