Mikita Badziakouski moved all in for 182,000 from middle position and found a caller in Gregoire Auzoux in the blinds who had a covering stack.
Mikita Badziakouski: 5♥5♠
Gregoire Auzoux: A♣10♣
The J♥7♣7♥ flop was clean for Badziakouski but Auzoux connected with the 10♠ turn leaving Badziakouski drawing to two outs. The 4♦ river was a blank and Badziakouski made his exit from the tournament area while Auzoux continued to add chips to his stack.
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau opened to 32,000 from the hijack and Gregoire Auzoux three-bet to 102,000 from the cutoff. Vaskaboinikau made the call.
The flop came 8♥7♦3♠ and Vaskaboinikau check-called a 75,000 continuation bet from Auzoux.
On the 4♦ turn Vaskaboinikau checked and Auzoux sized up with a bet of 300,000. Vaskaboinikau used one time extension before ultimately finding a fold.
"Did you bluff me?" Vaskaboinikau asked his opponent, showing that he had folded J♠J♣.
"I did!" Auzoux gleefully replied, revealing A♥10♠ for just ace-high as he scooped the pot.
Vicente Delgado kicked off the action with a raise to 33,000 from the button and Teun Mulder defended his big blind. A flop of K♠Q♣7♦ was then fanned out and Mulder checked to Delgado, who made a bet of 30,000. Mulder responded with a raise to 125,000 and Delgado matched the bet.
The A♦ turn slowed Mulder down as he opted for a check. In response, Delgado retook the initiative with a bet of 175,000, which Mulder called. Mulder checked once more on the 4♣ river and Delgado bet a whopping 450,000, more than half of Mulder's stack. However, he found himself dumbstruck when Mulder raised all in, for 755,000 total.
The clock kept ticking down until Delgado had used all of his remaining time bank cards. He finally made the call within the last 30 seconds allocated to him, and Mulder showed J♣10♥ for the turned nuts. In frustration, Delgado threw his cards into the muck, but the dealer retrieved his K♥Q♠ for flopped two pair.
By winning this massive pot from Delgado, Mulder nabbed the chip lead, while Delgado suddenly played an under-average stack.
Leon Sturm opened to 32,000 from the hijack and Kayhan Mokri defended from the big blind.
The flop came J♦2♣5♥. Mokri checked, Sturm bet 16,000 and Mokri moved all in for 117,000. Sturm, who had a covering stack, nearly beat him into the pot.
Kayhan Mokri: 5♦3♦
Leon Sturm: A♠A♣
Mokri pulled ahead with two pair on the 3♥ turn but the 4♥ river gave Sturm a wheel. Mokri was eliminated while Sturm continued his upward trajectory.
Pablo Silva opened to 24,000 rom the cutoff and Gregoire Auzoux three-bet to 74,000 from the small blind. Silva used one time extension before moving all in for roughly 150,000. Auzoux called to put Silva at risk.
Pablo Silva: K♥Q♣
Gregoire Auzoux: J♦J♥
The board ran out A♠9♣2♣3♦10♠. Silva could not pull ahead of the pocket-jacks resulting in his elimination while Auzoux took down a decent pot.
In a preflop confrontation Leon Sturm found himself all in and at risk for roughly 325,000 against Pablo Silva.
Leon Sturm: A♦K♥
Pablo Silva: J♦J♠
The board ran out 3♠Q♣Q♠5♣A♥. Sturm's rivered ace was good for the winner and he took down a nice pot, extending his tournament life in the process while leaving Silva with just over ten big blinds.
With three players seeing a board of A♣J♥9♥ and roughly 100,000 in the middle, Sam Greenwood checked from the big blind and Quan Zhou bet 31,000 from under the gun. Paulius Plausinaitis called from middle position and Greenwood called as well after using one time extension.
Action checked around to Plausinaitis again on the 7♣ turn and he bet 100,000. Greenwood called off for his last 30,000 and Zhou also called.
On the 4♠ river Zhou checked and Plausinaitis bet 75,000. Zhou put in a check-raise to 300,000 and Plausinaitis got out of the way.
Greenwood tabled 4♥2♥ for a missed flush draw and rivered pair of fours while Zhou showed down A♥K♦ for top pair, top kicker to score the knockout and take down a nice pot.
In the tail end of the previous level, Sam Greenwood raised to 20,000 from the cutoff before Paulius Plausinaitis three-bet all in for 246,000 from the small blind. Greenwood made the call and a showdown was had.
Paulius Plausinaitis: 10♥10♣
Sam Greenwood: 7♦7♣
No miracle seven appeared for Greenwood on the 8♠3♦J♥K♦K♠ runout and Plausinaitis secured the double up.
The very next hand, Greenwood went all in himself for the mere 18,000 chips he had left after the encounter with Plausinaitis. Quan Zhou called from the cutoff, as did Pablo Silva in the big blind.
The two active players checked the 7♠5♥7♥ flop, as well as the 6♠ turn. Silva checked once more on the K♦ river, seeing 25,000 from Zhou thereafter. Silva quickly folded and Zhou tabled K♠J♠ for rivered top pair.
However, Greenwood was sitting on a full house with his K♥K♣ and took the first step in his comeback story.
Jules Dickerson was in the big blind and faced with a shove from Vicente Delgado, who covered Dickerson's stack of roughly 600,000. Dickerson made the call and was at risk.
Jules Dickerson: 9♦9♥
Vicente Delgado: 4♦4♥
Dickerson was in great shape to double up with the higher pocket-pair but was left drawing to only two outs which Delgado spiked a set on the Q♣7♣4♠ flop. From there Dickerson was unable to find a nine on the 2♥ turn and 6♠ river, resulting in his elimination while Delgado dragged in a pot worth over one million chips.
