Both players checked the 6♣ turn before Virlanuta led out for another 91,000 on the 4♥ river.

Simon puzzled over the decision for a minute before placing a chip in the pot to signify a call. Virlanuta was then forced to show K♥J♠ for a bluff and Simon quickly revealed his A♥K♣ as he took the pot with just ace-high.

Vavilonskii Navigates the Three-Bet Pot

Andrei Vavilonskii opened in late position to 16,000 before the action made it to Sergei Bortsov in the small blind, who cold-called, and action was on Eugenio Peralta in the big blind who took a moment before putting in the squeeze to 65,000.

Vavilonskii called, but Bortsov got out of the way as the dealer gathered the bets and put out the 8♥4♥4♣ flop.

Peralta continued for 40,000 and Vavilonskii quickly made the call on their way to a 5♠ turn. Peralta went into the tank and even burned a time bank before ultimately checking his action over to Vavilonskii, who went into the tank. After about 30 seconds, Vavilonskii put out a bet of 95,000.

Peralta mulled it over and counted out his chips, but eventually folded his hand. Vavilonskii dragged the pot and added some chips to his already healthy stack.

"Not possible," Tomazou added as he was drawing thin. The turn came the 9♠ and Tomazou picked up some outs with a pair, and he improved to two pair on the 10♣ river as Minasi shot back in his seat and let out a loud cry of frustration.

"Until the end," Tomazou concluded as he doubled up.

At the same time at another table, Jovan Kenjic was all in for around 170,000 and up against Andrei Vavilonskii in a blind versus blind battle.

Kuznetsov Doubles Through Sammartino

Minasi Wins the Blinds Battle

Renat Bohdanov limped from the small blind before action was on Alessandro Minasi in the big blind who took a moment and then put in a raise to 22,000. Bohdanov called.

The 5♥Q♣Q♠ flop hit the felt and action checked to Minasi who down-bet to 15,000. Bohdanov called again.

The 7♠ turn landed and action checked to Minasi again who put in another wager but this time he sized up to 39,000. Bohdanov sat in the tank but it seemed he didn't have enough to carry on as he released his cards.

Minasi scooped after some blind versus blind action.

Luo Misses, Still Doubles Through Schottes

Luo and Petleshkov checked on the flop of 10♦Q♣7♦ and Schottes bet 28,000. Luo check-raised to 85,000 and Petleshkov folded before Schottes called.

Luo then quickly moved all in for around 200,000 on the 6♣ turn and Schottes used through his time banks before calling with a bigger stack.

Luo was ahead with a pair of sevens and had a better flush draw, while Schottes was still live with a straight draw. The 5♥ river bricked off and Luo earned the sizable double despite missing her flush.

Carbo Snaps Off Kulev to Cross a Million

More than 200,000 was already in the pot as Gerard Carbo and Alex Kulev went to the turn on a board of A♣8♦J♠7♠.

Kulev was in the small blind and moved all in for 276,000. Carbo snap-called and showed A♠K♠ for top pair. Kulev could only show 9♦7♦ for a pair of sevens and a straight draw.

The river 5♣ was no help to Kulev and Carbo scooped the massive pot to send Kulev to the rail.

"Are you a millionaire yet," a tablemate asked Carbo, who stacked up around 1,100,000 after the hand.

"More," another tablemate added.

Carl Shaw is also sitting with around 1,100,000 after recently busting Pete Chen by winning a race with pocket tens.
