Jose Gonzalez Sanchez limped in from the small blind with 10♣6♣. Andrea Dato checked his option with Q♦4♦.
The K♣10♦8♠ checked through to the J♦ turn, giving Dato an open-ender and a flush draw. Sanchez, with a pair of tens, bet 600,000 and was called.
The 2♦ completed the board, and Sanchez checked. With a flush, Dato fired out a pot-sized bet of 2,400,000. Sanchez went into the tank and threw a collection of time banks into the middle. He talked himself into a call only to see the bad news.
Andrea Dato limped in from the button with A♠Q♣, and Gilles Simon checked with 5♥3♠. Simon hit bottom two pair on the J♥5♣3♣ flop to become the firm favorite.
Simon check-raised to 1,300,000 over a bet of 400,000. Dato called.
The 8♠ turn confirmed the checkmark for Simon. He fired out another 3,000,000, and Dato stuck around for one more street.
Simon emptied the clip on the 4♦ river and Dato folded.
