Vaskaboinikau Burns Through Another Bullet

Nível 8 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau made a raise to 6,000 from the cutoff before Juan Pardo made a three-bet to 20,000 from the small blind. Vaskaboinikau did not think long before jamming his remaining 64,000 chips and Pardo snap called.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: J9
Juan Pardo: KK

Vaskaboinikau went for a move but found the wrong timing. The Q106 flop brought some hope for him in the way of an open-ended straight draw, but the 4 turn took away some of his outs as Pardo now had a flush draw. The 5 river completed Pardo's flush and Vaskaboinikau sought the exit of the tournament room for the second time in quick succesion.

The Ace Is Good For Delgado

Nível 8 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Vicente Delgado opened to 6,500 from under the gun and Artur Martirosian defended from the big blind.

On the flop Q47, Delgado made a continuation bet to 5,500 and Martirosian check-called.

The 7 on the turn and the river Q brought two pair on the board. Nobody bet, so Martirosian revealed his K10, but lost against Delgado's A3.

After this hand, the tournament director gave a warning to players about the use of their phones. "But if it's to play poker, it's ok," she added. "We play poker, and on PokerStars!" answered Mikalai Vaskaboinikau to make everybody laugh.

Pardo And Iakobishvili Win More Chips in Three-Bet Pots

Nível 8 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Juan Pardo raised to 7,000 from under the gun before Vicente Delgado three-bet to 21,000 from the small blind. Pardo called and did so too for Delgado's 20,500 bet on the 528 flop. The J turn was then checked through before Delgado checked again on the 5 river. Pardo made a bet large enough to put Delgado all in for 76,500 chips but the latter quickly folded to grant the pot to Pardo.

One hand later, Gha Iakobishvili raised to 6,000 from under the gun and Adrian Mateos made it 18,000 to go from the hijack. The action folded back to Iakobishvili, who made the call.

On a flop of 9105, Iakobishvili check-called a 20,000 bet from Mateos before the pair both checked the 9 turn. Iakobishvili then led 20,000 on the 6 river and took down the pot when Mateos mucked his cards.

Meanwhile, Mikalai Vaskaboinikau has reentered once more and is sitting with a fresh stack of 100,000 chips.

Adrian Mateos opened to 6,500 from middle position, then Vicente Delgado three-bet all in for 77,500 in the cutoff. The button and the blinds folded and Mateos called.

Delgado had to win the flip to stay in the tournament. Mateos hit a jack on the flop 810J to have the best pair. After the turn 7 and the river Q, Delgado was eliminated.

"Are you going to reentry?" asked some players. "Mmm... no," answered Delgado.

Iakobishvili Takes A Big Pot From Greenwood

Nível 9 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Under the gun, Sam Greenwood raised to 9,000, and then Gha Iakobishvili in the small blind three-bet to 35,000.

On the flop 88J, Iakobishvili bet 15,000, and Greenwood called. But when Iakobishvili checked on the turn 2, Greenwood tried to take the pot. Iakobishvili quickly called the 26,000 needed.

The 9 came on the river, and Iakobishvili took the lead again, betting 60,000. Greenwood counted his stacks and the time bank cards he had left. He used one of them, before calling. "King-Jack," said Iakobishvili while showing KJ for a pair. Greenwood gave his cards to the dealer and lost this big pot.
