Michael Smith was in middle position when he opened to 4,000. On the button, Vincenzo Maiorano three-bet to 10,000. The blinds folded and Smith threw a stack of chips into the middle to force Maiorano to go all in. The Italian player eventually did, with a total of 40,000 chips.
Vincenzo Maiorano: A♥8♣
Michael Smith: Q♥Q♠
Maiorano was lucky enough to find an ace on the flop on A♦8♥10♠2♦7♥, doubling up.
"You didn't believe me?" asked Smith after the hand, a bit disgusted.

Ali Zebarjad raised to 4,000 from the hijack. Batraz Tigiev three-bet to 12,500, on the button, and Zebarjad called.
The dealer spread the 5♦3♣8♦. Zebarjad elected to play out of flow and moved all in, putting Tigiev to the test for his remaining stack of approximately 67,200. After some deliberation, Tigiev chose to toss his cards to the muck.

Rachid El Yaacoubi opened to 4,000 from middle position and called when Raphael Blouet made it 10,000 from the hijack.
On the 6♦4♠3♣ flop, El Yaacoubi checked and Blouet continued for 10,000. El Yaacoubi then jammed for 81,000 and was snap-called.
Rachid El Yaacoubi: 3♥3♠
Raphael Blouet: A♦A♣
El Yaacoubi's flopped set of threes had him in the lead and the 9♥J♠ runout confirmed his double up.
The following hand, Blouet moved all in for his last 6,500 and Gilles Simon called from the big blind.
Raphael Blouet: A♦5♠
Gilles Simon: 10♦7♠
Both players paired up on the A♥7♦4♣ flop and Blouet managed to avoid elimination as the 4♥ turn and 8♥ river ensured his survival.

Zakhar Ivanchik, in the big blind, moved all in for 27,500. Muhammed Bozkurt, in the hijack, went deep into the tank.
Bozkurt thought for a considerable amount of time before electing to make the call. Ivanchik tabled A♥10♦ for flopped trips, which sent Bozkurt's J♣J♥ flying across the table and into the muck.

Merijn van Rooij, who was just involved in a controversial hand, open-raised from under the gun before compatriot Alexander van der Swaluw three-bet to 12,000 from the cutoff. Van Rooij responded with a four-bet jam and pushed his 92,500 stack into the middle.
Van Der Swaluw, who had his opponent covered, went into the tank but eventually made the call.
Merijn van Rooij: A♦5♦
Alexander van der Swaluw: Q♦Q♠
Van Rooij needed an ace and failed to find one on the 9♥3♥K♣ flop. The 5♣ turn gave the at-risk player some more outs, but the 7♥ river confirmed his departure.

"They are crazy things at the table, especially since Jessica is here," joked Jon Kyte.
"But you have all the chips," answered Teusl, who didn't wait to open to 4,000 from the cutoff on Kyte's big blind.
Benjamin Tessier in the small blind called and Kyte defended to see the flop 4♣Q♣5♠. Teusl made a continuation-bet of 5,000, but only Tessier called.
The 4♦ landed on the turn and Teusl fired a second barrel of 18,000. It was too much for Tessier, who folded.

Conor Beresford opened to 3,000 from under the gun and was called by Ian Drake on his direct left, who coincidentally, was celebrating his birthday.
Both players checked the 7♣6♣3♦ flop to the J♠ turn. Beresford fired out a pot-sized bet of 10,000 and was called.
On the Q♥ river, Beresford sized up to 30,000, and after some thinking time, Drake conceded the pot.
Drake, from the Isle of Man, recently pulled off a stunning heads-up comeback against Rodrigo Selouan to win a $5,200 Titans Title on PokerStars for $87,003.
Drake spoke to PokerNews after the victory and broke down some of his hands from heads-up play.
