João Sydenstricker opened to 60,000 from under the gun, and was called by Curtis Knight in the hijack. From the cutoff, Benjamin Gros three-bet to 315,000, keeping only 105,000 with him.
The button and the blinds folded, so the action came back to Sydenstricker who said "580,000" to four-bet. Knight looked at him, and announced all in for 3,900,000 chips. Gros threw his last chips in front of him, and Sydenstricker snap-called.
Benjamin Gros: Q♠Q♦
João Sydenstricker: A♠A♣
Curtis Knight: A♥K♦
Knight made a face when he discovered Sydenstricker's hand. He hit a pair on the river on 9♣9♥2♣6♦K♣, but it wasn't enough to beat Sydenstricker's aces. With the queens and the shortest stack, Gros was eliminated, while Sydenstricker doubled up to 3,850,000 chips.
Santiago Plante raised to 60,000 from early position and Pedro Lopes called from the button before Felipe Morelli shoved 640,000 from the blinds. Plante spent a time bank before he eventually called and Lopes got out of the way while showing 10x10x.
Felipe Morelli: A♦K♣
Santiago Plante: 7♥7♦
The board ran out 10♥K♥A♥9♣4♦ and Morelli flopped two pair before dodging another heart to secure the double.
Eduard Barsegyan raised 60,000 under the gun and only Thomas Boivin made the call in the big blind,
When the A♦8♥7♠ flop hit the felt, both players checked to the 9♣ turn. Boivin fired a bet of 165,000 and Barsegyan called.
The 9♦ paired the board on the river, and Boivin slowed down with a check. Barsegyan thought about it for almost 30 seconds before deciding to check back. Boivin tabled J♣2♣ and Barsegyan dragged the pot with A♠Q♦.
Mihai Niste shoved for his last 335,000 from early position and was called by João Sydenstricker in the hijack to put Niste at risk. Everyone else folded and a showdown was held.
Mihai Niste: A♦A♠
João Sydenstricker: A♥Q♠
Niste was in great shape to double and remained well ahead on the K♦9♦3♥ flop. The J♣ turn gave Sydenstricker a small sweat to hit a gutshot, but the 3♠ river bricked out and Niste doubled up.
Djamal Boutaleb shoved for 590,000 from the cutoff before Felipe Morelli went all in for more from the small blind. The big blind folded and action was heads up with Boutaleb at risk.
Djamal Boutaleb: A♦10♠
Felipe Morelli: A♣J♠
The board ran out A♠4♦Q♠Q♥8♦ and Morelli held on with a pair of aces and a better kicker to eliminate Boutaleb.
Markku Koplimaa raised to 60,000 from under the gun and found one caller in Ramin Hajiyev in the big blind.
Hajiyev then check-called a 55,000 bet from Koplimaa on the 4♥10♣6♣ flop and a 135,000 bet from Koplimaa on the J♥ turn.
The 3♣ completed the board and Hajiyev checked a final time. Koplimaa wasn't done and shoved for his last 240,000, which got a reluctant fold from Hajiyev to send Koplimaa the pot.
