Volkmann Hits the River to Send Out Petrangelo

Bruno Volkmann reraised to 57,000 from the button over top of a raise from Nick Petrangelo in early position, and Petrangelo came back with a four-bet to 130,000.

Volkmann then shoved all in and Petrangeo snap-called for around 390,000.

Greenwood Puts Badziakouski To The Test

Mikita Badziakouski opened from under the gun to 12,000 and both Sam Greenwood and Nick Petrangelo made the call from the blinds.

The flop came , Greenwood and Petrangelo checked to Badziakouski who continued for 9,000. Greenwood decided on a check-raise to 30,000 and only Badziakouski came along.

On the turn Greenwood took a moment before betting 35,000 and again Badziakouski called.

The completed the board and Greenwood slid a stack of blue chips forward, covering the 70,000 stack of Badziakouski who went deep in the tank. After several minutes of thought, Badziakouski let his hand go and the chips were sent to the Canadian.

Volkmann Takes Three-Way All In With Quads

Day 2 of €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em II at the 2022 PokerStars and Barcelona©Casino European Poker Tour gets underway shortly at 12:30 p.m. local time and leading the 12 remaining players is Ireland’s Steve O’Dwyer with a stack of 679,000. Day 1 saw 40 entries join the field to create a prize pool of €960,400 but will sure to be more with late registration and reentries still available up until start time.

O’Dwyer got off to a hot start when he got aces all in against the tens of Orpen Kisacikoglu early on and kept the momentum until the end of the night. More notables who found a bag include Juan Pardo (566,000), Adrian Mateos (480,000), and Nick Petrangelo (340,000) who will all be chasing this EPT title.

Many players came into yesterday with hopes of a deep run but did not find a bag included Erik Seidel, Seth Davies, Juha Helppi, and high stakes regular Patrik Antonius who will all have another chance to hop in the action before start of day.
