River Causes Carnage

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ori Haim Elul
Ori Haim Elul

Ori Haim Elul raised to 2,500 from under the gun. Curtis Lambert three-bet to 6,500 from early position. Elul then four-bet it to 14,500 when it was back on him which Lambert called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Elul continued for 7,500 and Lambert called. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} to bring in two flush draws. Both players checked.

The river came the {k-Hearts}. Elul bet 13,000. Lambert raised to 26,000. Elul moved all in and Lambert snap-called.

It was soon revealed how dynamic the river had been as Elul tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} for the rivered boat while Lambert had the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the no good rivered broadway and he was busted while Elul gathered the big pot.

Huber Wins the Race

Nível 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Sebastian Huber
Sebastian Huber

PokerStars Team Pro Sebastian Huber raised from early position and was three-bet all in by Dan Samson for his final 17,000 chips. Action folded back around to Huber, who made the call and the race was on.

Dan Samson: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Sebastian Huber: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flop of {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} produced a flush draw for Samson, but he could only find bricks on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Diamonds} river. Huber's pocket pair held, earning the rest of Samson's chips.

Big Value for Christoforou

Nível 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Andreas Christoforou
Andreas Christoforou

Jamie O'Connor and Andreas Christoforou were heads up to the flop showing {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}, with O'Connor check-calling Christoforou's 10,000 chip bet.

Both players checked the {4-Clubs} turn, and O'Connor led out for 30,000 after the {5-Diamonds} river. Christoforou did not take long before raising to 70,000, putting the decision back on O'Connor.

After a few minutes, O'Connor tossed in the call and saw the bad news. Christoforou revealed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for top two pair and a massive pot.

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Chris Da Silva
Chris Da Silva

Andreas Christoforou raised from early position and found a call from Chris Da Silva in the big blind. The rest of Da Silva's stack went in after the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, followed by a quick call from Christoforou.

Chris Da Silva: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Andreas Christoforou: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Da Silva's draw was trailing until the {9-Clubs} turn completed his straight, and the {q-Hearts} river changed nothing. Da Silva doubled his stack late in Level 12.

Mokri On Top After Massive Day 1c Field

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

The third flight of the £1,100 UKIPT Main Event at the PokerStars European Poker Tour London in the Hilton Park Lane hotel has come to an end for the day after almost 14 and a half hours of play.

The flight attracted the largest amount out of all of the flights as a whopping 703 entries entered. The field played down to 105 before the remaining players bagged up their chips to advance to Day 2. Those players will join the survivors from Days 1a, 1b and 1d to make for 218 total advancing to Day 2.

Leading the way after Day 1c was Kayhan Mokri who bagged up 605,000. The Norwegian made a big splash back in August in the EPT Barcelona Main Event where he finished in sixth for over € 330,000.

Right after Mokri was Ludovic Geilich with 592,000, then a bit of a drop off before Julien Loire with 553,000 and Daniel Ghionoiu with 549,000 right behind him.

Well-known UK player, Conor Beresford was able to finish with the fifth biggest stack of 531,000 after he had a strong last couple of levels to swell his stack heading into Day 2.
