Mulder Becomes Bottom Stack After Paying Off Caminita

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Teun Mulder raised to 360,000 in the small blind with the {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Demetrio Caminita defended the big blind with {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop went check, check, and Mulder's bet worth 240,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn was called by Caminita.

Mulder gave up on the {2-Diamonds} river and checked but paid off the 525,000 bet by Caminita to get shown the bad news.

Teun Mulder Eliminated in 7th Place (€138,570)

Nível 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Teun Mulder raised it up to 250,000 in the cutoff and Gab Yong Kim in the big blind verified the stack size of his opponent before pushing all-in. Mulder snap-called and Kim instantly told the showdown cards to his rail from South Korea.

Teun Mulder: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Gab Yong Kim: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop vaulted Kim into the lead and Mulder was left with one out only, as the {q-Clubs} had been mucked already. No miracle came on the {2-Clubs} turn and the {a-Clubs} river only improved Kim, sending Mulder to the rail in 7th place. After he was the dominating chip leader for most of the day, the Dutchman has to settle for a payday of €138,570.

All remaining six players are now bagging and tagging their chips. They will be back at noon the following day to determine a new EPT Main Event champion. The counts and a recap of today's action are to follow.

Day 5 Action

The outer table provided the first knockout when Alexandre Amiel shoved his ace-jack and ran into the pocket kings of Cortellazzi.

Elsewhere on the featured table, Hossein Ensan made his move early, doubling through Mulder before knocking out Mario Navarro in 15th place with ace-king, but the former 2015 EPT Prague champion was out next in 14th when he shoved with pocket the hot hand of Mulder turned over pocket sevens.

Meanwhile, Alexandridis went to work on the outer table and cracked Justin Steinbrenner’s pocket aces to eliminate him in 13th place with a set of fives. Leonardo Romeo was out next in 12th, another player falling to Alexandridis in his outer table run to nearly seven million chips.

The next out was George Chiriac in 11th after he shoved his small stack into the pocket tens of Danchev. Manuel Labous was not far behind in 10th when Mulder cracked his pocket jacks with aces and fives.

The unofficial table got underway and Danchev was out in ninth when he shoved with tens and Glowny looked him up with pocket jacks. Konakchiev suffered the same fate a short while later and was out in eighth place when his pocket nines couldn’t improve against Kim’s queens.

The lead changed hands throughout the final stretches of the night with Mulder drifting to the back of the pack. The final hand of the night came when Kim caught a king to crack the queens of Mulder, who came into the final table with the lead. In the end, it was Kim who finished the evening at the top of the leaderboard after a red-hot run to close out the night.
