Wilf Takes on Gruissem

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, Saar Wilf raised on the cutoff and Philipp Gruissem three-bet to 23,000 on the button, Wilf called. On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Wilf checked and Gruissem continued for 25,000. After just brief consideration, Wilf check-raised to 65,000 and that ended the hand right there.

Action Without Showdown

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Brian Altman raised to 7,000 on the button and Hossein Ensan three-bet to 19,000 out of the big blind, which Altman called. On the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, a continuation bet of Ensan did the trick.

Soon after Antoine Saout made it 7,500 to go, Ensan called on the button and Alexis Fleur in the small blind made it 32,000 to go. Saout clicked it up to 68,000 and that won the pot right there.

Demirdjian Skyrockets as Ruivo Falls

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Mark Demirdjian
Mark Demirdjian

After a big clash with Manuel Ruivo, Mark Demirdjian has reclaimed the number one spot he held on Day 1a. It was Demirdjian who opened the action to 7,000 and Maxim Panyak who called in middle position.

Behind Panyak, Ruivo three-bet to 32,000, Demirdijan four-bet to 84,000, Panyak folded, Ruivo five-bet shoved 235,000 and Demirdjian called quickly.

Manuel Ruivo: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Mark Demirdjian: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Despite starting the hand with an above average stack, things were looking grim for Ruivo in order to make the money. He needed a queen if he was to make the money, but the dealer didn't oblige and fanned out a {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} board to end Ruivo's run. Demirdjian soared to 790,000 after the hand.

Fernandez Alonso Takes from Maurer; Gives em Back

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Javier Fernandez Alonso and Florian Maurer, the board showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Fernandez Alonso bet the second street in a row, making it 70,000 to go. Maurer called and mucked when he was shown {9-Spades}{3-Clubs} for two pair.

In the next hand, Fernandez Alonso raised to 7,500 and Maurer called from two seats over. The duo checked the {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and the Spaniard bet the {2-Spades} turn for 6,000, Maurer called. On the {A-Spades} river, Fernandez Alonso check-raised all in and Maurer called for 92,500 to see his opponent turn over {K-Spades}{6-} for the nut flush blocker. Maurer had {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and secured the double just shy of the money bubble.

Riess Doubles Through Dumont

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Riess came into the day with 44,000 and had dwindled down until he got his last 23,000 chips in with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. He was looking good against the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} of Nicolas Dumont, but the flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} giving Dumont an open-ended straight draw.

Riess faded the straight outs on the {5-Spades}{8-Spades} runout and he doubled up, but is still some way short of the average stack which currently stands at just over 200,000.
