Niall Farrell and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst are sitting across from each other at a table on the far side of the room. Selbst's stack is a little lower than earlier at around 37,000 after she was initially off to a fast start. Meanwhile, Farrell is also having trouble getting anything going in the first half of the day.
In a hand just before the break, Farrell was facing a bet from his opponent for 5,000 with the pot at around 10,000 board showing . He tanked for a few minutes before calling. His opponent turned over , while Farrell tossed his hand into the muck. While he didn't expose his hand, he did share with the table that he had pocket tens. After the hand, Farrell's stack was less than half the opening stack with 13,500 left for him to try to run it up with.

Čech and his opponent were heads-up on the flop. Čech bet 1,000 when the action was checked to him. His opponent opted to raise the action to 3,100 which Čech called.
Čech's opponent led out with a bet of 5,600 after the appeared on the turn, which Čech called. The completed the board on the river. Čech's opponent led out again, this time for half of his remaining chips for 13,000. Čech had his opponent covered and reraised him all-in which he called. Three players were piling chips in on a flop, with a player on the button having 3,800 in front of him and a player in early position having called before Marton Czuczor jammed for about 22,000. The player on the button tanked around two minutes before dropping in calling chips, and the third player folded.
Czuczor:
Opponent:
Czuczor had a few cards to fade since his opponent had a straight flush draw and could also hit a set to take the lead, but the and runout gave the Hungarian a boat.
